I. JORDAN Shares “ROUND N ROUND,” third single from his debut album I AM JORDAN

On his long-awaited debut album, I AM JORDAN, which will be released on May 10 via Ninja Tune, the British electronic producer joyfully celebrates collective ecstasy as a form of self-discovery. “This album is about joy,” says Jordan. “It’s about my joy as a trans person, and trans joy in general, of working with trans people, of making all this fun music together.” To this end, the album captures the bliss and dynamism of a wild I. Jordan show. Utilizing his decade of experience as a DJ and producer, there are dizzying tributes to northern dance sounds like donk and hardstyle, euphoric trance and house, and plenty of room for exploration. Fundamentally, the album acts as a personal diary of dance music, marking a period of turmoil.

After collaborations with Fred Again…, Planningtorock and SHERELLE, remixes by Fever Ray, Romy and Eliza Roze, and a handful of well-received EPs, the album remains I. JORDAN’s biggest project thanks to its personal weight and musical breadth. It also follows a huge acclaim for his work as a DJ in 2023, including a nomination for Best DJ from DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards 2023, an AIM Breakthrough Artist 2023 nomination, and a No. 8 spot among Mixmag’s top 25 DJs that defined 2023.

Despite bearing his name, I AM JORDAN is a product of his community, as Jordan explains. “Everyone is interconnected and the idea of being an individual is kind of a myth… I wouldn’t be who I am without everyone around me. My friends, especially the friends who have supported me throughout the transition process, my trans friends who I’ve trusted, the Reddit group chats, it’s all very important. In the trans community, none of us do things on our own.”
