Ivette – Big Brother
Q. What made you want to be a part of the show “Big Brother 6”?
A. I was always looking for a way to make big money, kind of a get rich quick scheme. I was trying to make that money quick to help so I could help my family open up a restaurant. I always went on websites to see what shows I could apply for and a number of times I crossed “Big Brother.” But, I didn’t get around to it or there would be a deadline. One day when I was working at a restaurant two guys sat down at my table and asked did I want to be on a reality show and here I am!
Q. Did you have a strategy with Beau before entering the house?
A. Yes, we kind of just said that he was going to hang out with the guys and somewhat be part of the girls too. We were just going to mingle with everybody.
Q. Were you a fan of the show before appearing on it?
A. I had rarely seen the show but I love the show.
Q. What did you learn about yourself from being inside the house?
A. I learned that it doesn’t matter the amount of money that’s at the end of anything, I would never change who I am. Always stay true to myself. The thing that I wanted to honestly come out of the game was being honest. Not breaking any promises, being truthful, that’s what I came out with. I’m very, very happy.
Q. What did you miss most about the outside world while being on “Big Brother 6”?
A. I missed my girlfriend and my mom and dad, my family.
Q. Do you have a most memorable moment from your time on the show?
A. My most memorable moment had to have been winning the final HOH, doesn’t get better than that.
Q. Is there anything that you would have done differently?
A. Knowing what I know now, hearing stuff from my mom and my girlfriend, I probably wouldn’t have stuck to The Girl Scout Troop.
Q. What part of the house did you enjoy the most?
A. The HOH room I enjoyed a lot, when I was up there.
Q. Do you have any advice for future contestants on the show?
A. Don’t do it. If you’re not ready to break out in pimples, lose your period, lose sleep and just become a nervous wreck and it looks like you’ve been camping for three years; don’t go on the show.
Q. What are you plans for your newly acquired money?
A. I am going to give a big portion of it to my mom. Then I’m going to invest some hopefully and I’m going to take a break and try to find something other than waitressing.
Q. What helped sustain you throughout the entire “Big Brother 6” competition?
A. My love for my family.
Q. Were you surprised that Janelle and James voted for you?
A. I knew James was going to vote for me. I was surprised that Janelle did after her comments when she said that she thought she would take some personal things into consideration. I thought that I had lost her vote, but I didn’t.
Q. Who do you plan on keeping in touch with?
A. Right now, there is a lot I have to talk to my girlfriend about. I don’t like to keep people around in my life who don’t wish the best for me, who don’t care about me one hundred percent. So, I really have to talk to her to see who I really want to keep in touch with.
Q. What are your plans following your time on the show?
A. Whatever comes, doing whatever, I’m very spontaneous, I do whatever.
Q. What would you like to say to viewers who were fans and supporters of you while you were a part of the house?
A. I would love to say to all of my fans thank you for supporting me one hundred percent. I hope I made them proud and that what they saw on TV is one hundred percent me. They can call me any time or say hello to me if I’m on the street and they’ll know Ivette.
