Q) You have some top-notch costars. Who were you looking forward to sharing some scenes with?

A) I had worked with Dan Spielman who plays my father on another project prior to “Black Snow,” so I was very excited to work with him again! It was so great to meet all my other wonderful cast mates as well.

Q) Every episode is intriguing and very intense. What have been some of your favorite scenes to film?

A) I loved shooting the scenes with Cody (Nicholas Bakopoulos-Cooke) and young Sam. We see Zoe at her best in the first episode, feeling so comfortable and joyful around her two best friends. Shooting at the community radio show was amazing. The creative team built the whole set from scratch and walking into it, it really felt like entering another world.

Q) The series is shot throughout Queensland. Where were some standout locations for you?

A) Queensland has so many stunning places! I had done quite a bit of travelling through the state before shooting “Black Snow,” but on all of my trips I had missed out on the Glasshouse Mountains. To shoot there was an amazing experience, and it really feels like the mountains are also characters on the show.

Q) What do you think it is about “Black Snow” that’s made it such a fast fan favorite must watch series?

A) Travis Fimmel is a great Cormack with all his quirks, and I think there is a real quality about the specificity of the settings. Our showrunner Lucas Taylor manages to include the stories of minorities in Australia without ever making it feel forced or exploitative, and I believe that audiences also value that.
