Jane the Virgin – Chapter Ninety-Two

Jane (Gina Rodriguez) has to get used to Jorge (Alfonso DiLuca) moved into their house. She also has to get used to her and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) helping Mateo (Elias Janssen) deal with his newfound ADHD. They don’t want to put him on medication yet since he is so young. Three weeks later there has been some changes. Not only has Petra (Yael Grobglas) been grieving her heartbreak, but Jorge has transformed the living room into his area where he only calls for Jane if the doorbell rings…even if he is right there.

Rafael has his first date since he and Jane broke up. Mateo isn’t doing very well with the changes and has a meltdown when Rafael tries to give him a fruit-roll up and all the other kids get cake at a birthday party.

Jane helps Petra move on by returning the ring that she bought for J.R. (Rosario Dawson).

Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) is having her final PET scan to see if her chemo worked. It turns out that it did and she is now cancer-free! This is a joy to everyone…including River Fields (Brooke Shields) who kisses Rogelio (Jaime Camil) when she finds out! Obviously, Xo is NOT happy about this.

As Jorge is now the “man of the house,” Mateo is noticing this and thinks he can do the same things like leave his plate at the table and go watch TV. When Jane tells Mateo he can’t do this, he throws a tantrum. Jane talks to Jorge and asks him not to watch television until Mateo goes to sleep and to put his dishes away when he is around. Jorge agrees, but then later tattles on Jane to Alba (Ivonne Coll).

Alba is not having this. She tells Jane off, saying this is how she wants it to be. She knows she is a strong and independent woman, but she wants to take care of her husband. She says Jane didn’t have a problem when Alba took care of her and Xo, but now she has a problem since Jorge is a man. Jane has to apologize to Jorge.

Rogelio sets River straight, but she clearly doesn’t get it. They are supposed to be kissing in a scene, but she keeps going after the director yells cut. Xo jumps on her and they fall into the pool on set. River claims she didn’t hear them call cut. Rogelio suggests Xo go calm down since this is his place of work. She seems taken back by this.

Jane and Rafael realize they are going to have to cut back with all the restrictions on Mateo. It is hard on them and not working with him. They decide to loosen things up and take a break.

River apologizes to Xiomara, but clearly doesn’t mean it as she tries to kiss Ro yet again! He tells her he has never felt that way about her and never will. Rogelio tells Xo who then demands they have no sex scenes together or she watches them on set. Rogelio doesn’t want her there, claiming she makes the situation worse. Of course, this causes a fight between them. This makes Xo realize things are getting back to normal now that she is cancer-free. The finally have sex.

Jane ALMOST walks in on Alba and Jorge having sex…in the living room, on the couch. Wow! She goes to Petra’s where they have a heart to heart about Jane moving on from Rafael officially by moving out.
