Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) I have an episode on Comedy Bang Bang, but I don’t have an air date for that yet. Then, I have a film called Before You Say I Do. There is a bunch of stuff waiting to come out, but I’m not sure when yet.

Q) Do you and Nina have anything in common?

A) She is a nerd about sci-fi and comic books. I feel that passionately about musical theatre and Broadway. I love Broadway and was going to go to the first ever Broadway Con this past July. I couldn’t go, though, because I was shooting “Stitchers.” Then, I feel like our confidence is shared and she goes after what she wants. She’ll speak her mind and say what she needs to say. I do that as well, but sometimes it gets me into trouble.

Q) How was the character originally described to you?

A) I think it said that Nina works for the comic book store. She’s a sexy, confident woman who is nerd chic. Pretty much what you seen on screen was in the audition scene. The audition was the two scenes in the first episode where I appeared when Cameron (Kyle Harris) wandered into the store and I was reading a comic book. There were a couple of line changes, but the episode was really fun. I had a lot of fun with it and did it once or twice. It was basically exactly the same. It’s nice to get notes and directions, but it’s also fun when they say, “We love what you did! Just keep doing that!”

Q) Was there anything you added to the role that wasn’t originally scripted for you?

A) I would say that the sass and the way in which she picks at Cameron – the looks. She doesn’t take any BS. The confidence was definitely there, but I think I added the sass. We have a little bit of a tease that Nina and Cameron are at Kirsten’s (Emma Ishta) house where she says, “I like spicy.” So, clearly, we can all imagine what that line was meant to be and it was done with confidence, but I feel I added the sass.

Q) What can you tease about how dynamics will shift as we approach the upcoming episodes?

A) I will just say what I keep saying to everyone…The more you get to know Nina the more you will decide if you love her or hate her. Your decisions will become clear in the next couple of episodes. Also, everyone that Nina meets loves her – if that’s any consolation.

Q) Is there someone you wish you had more scenes with or maybe would like the opportunity to work with?

A) It would have been fun if I had more time with Ritesh [Rajan]. I think he’s so funny, nice and brilliant. I wish we both had more time together. I love Linus’ character, but I feel he gets all the slack and gets picked on. But he’s so good and so funny!

Q) You are a part of social media. Do you enjoy the instant fan feedback you receive to the series and your character?

A) I love it! I love connecting with the fans. It’s actually really funny because some people hate Nina and they will tell me. It’s cool because they love the show so much, but other fans will jump to my defense. They’ll say, “We all have faults! Don’t tell her to die!” [laughs] But overall it is fun and it is awesome to connect with people and talk back and forth. It’s interesting just to see different people’s opinions. I really, really love interacting with fans on social media.

Q) Will you be sharing any behind the scenes photos or stories with fans?

A) Yeah! I have a few pictures. I actually haven’t been a picture taker and am more into being present. I do have a couple pictures and definitely have some stories. You can actually yell at Kyle because he’s been promising me for months that we would sing “Love Is An Open Door” from Frozen. He said we would record it and put it on YouTube. But he decided to punk out of it. So, send him a tweet!

Q) Is there anything else you would like to say to “Stitchers” fans?

A) I want to say thank you to the fans. I’m having a lot of fun. I know it is all in good fun. I love all the interaction, support and how excited everyone is and how welcoming everyone is on the show. So, thank you guys.
