JUST FOR KICKS” premieres on Nickelodeon on April 9 (7p.m. ET/PT)
Q) Please tell us about your character on the show “Just For Kicks.”
A) I play Vita Atwood and she’s very headstrong and forthright. She’s a natural born leader and she’s naturally athletic. She stands up for her friends and herself. She is very tight with her family and loyal and faithful to her friends.
Q) What made you want to be a part of the show?
A) Growing up, I always loved Nickelodeon! Aside from that, I love my character. She is intelligent, smart and I just know this show is going to be really good. All of the girls are relatable and it’s something people can easily find relevant.
Q) What is your most memorable moment from filming?
A) It would probably be when I was with Katija and we were playing a prank on Francesca while we were on set. We went into her trailer and we messed everything up. We put her sofa pillows on the floor and hid in her closet. When she walked in her trailer, she said, “Oh my gosh! Somebody help me! I’ve been robbed!” We hopped out and said, “Surprise, we were just kidding!” It was so much fun! She was so frantic so it was so funny.
Q) Why should viewers take the time to tune in to “Just For Kicks?”
A) The show is funny and it’s relatable. Every week there is something new that happens. There is always a new boy or a new problem. You don’t want to miss out on the good times we have on the show!
Q) What is it you like about the sport of soccer?
A) I love the feeling when you make a goal. Words can’t describe how it makes you feel. You just feel awesome for three seconds and then realize you have to keep playing, but when you make a goal it makes you feel really good. It also helps you stay fit.
Q) You’re the Assistant Captain of your high school’s improv group called “Comedy Sports.” What made you decide to get involved in it?
A) I got involved because people have told me that I am really witty and have great stage presence. So, I thought I would try out for “Comedy Sports.” I tried out as a freshman and made the team. I loved it and I am working my way up so that next year I am Captain of the team when I am a senior.
Q) What made you want to be an actress?
A) Growing up, my friend and I would always have movie marathons. I’ve always loved the cinema and movies. I have always had this feeling that I wanted to do it and could do it. When I was younger, I thought that since I lived in LA that I could actually do this. So, my parents supported me and I’ve been going on auditions since then.
Q) Besides singing and acting, is there anything else you would like to try your hand at?
A) I would love to do film making. I, already love to direct, edit and produce films. I know that in the future, I’d love to be a director as well as an actress.
Q) What do you do in your spare time?
A) In my spare time, I like to go to the beach. Of course, shopping is a must. I like to play guitar and listen to music. I am the biggest music nerd! I like to, of course, web surf. I also like to do film making in my spare time and go to the café.
Q) What is your latest obsession? A book? A movie? A band?
A) I am really into music right now. I am into a lot of ska music like the group the Aqua Bats. They are my favorite band. I also like Suburban Legends and things like that.
