Q) Last year, we were granted the release of two EP’s, Though the World Will Tell Me So Volumes 1 & 2; what has been the audience response to them?

A) I really loved playing those new songs for audiences the past year and the fact that my fans are still enjoying new material – that can always be a struggle when they’ve been with you for so long.

Q) Your single “Don’t Give Up on Me” is filled with a nostalgic sound and when you listen to it, it feels like a silent prayer turned into a song. What inspired you to write this piece?

A) Thank you for saying that…I wrote that song about a special woman in my life. I find that because I travel so much it can be exceedingly difficult to maintain intimate relationships, so this was to let her know that even far away, she’s always on my mind.

Q) What do you hope lingers with audiences that listen to the “Don’t Give Up on Me?”

A) I hope they find something in themselves in every song I write and record.

Q) November 1stit’s the opening date of the national tour in which you and Ron Pope are about to embark. How was this collaboration born and what made you decide you wanted to do this together?

A) I’m always looking for other artists and bands to tour with, and Ron has a similar audience to mine. So, I hope they love the show – his fans and mine.

Q) How would you say that the differences in your music genres and personalities will contribute to make this tour a full success?

A) I don’t know him well enough to comment on his personality, but I get the feeling we will become fast friends.

Q) Since you and Ron Pope are already working side by side on this tour, would you say there might be a chance that you can surprise your audience with the release of a song together?

A) That’s always a possibility but we’ll have to wait and see how it all shakes out.

Q) What are some songs that you can tease you will be performing on stage in this upcoming tour?

A) I don’t really do setlists. I like to be spontaneous on stage, read the room and then try my best to give every audience the show they deserve.

Q) For someone whose music has successfully conquered a lot of audiences and whose name already has a big space in the music industry, what would you consider to be the next milestone for you?

A) I just want to keep going. I’m so lucky that people still want to hear me play and I never take that for granted.

Q) Having shared the stage with a lot of other talented artists along your career, is there still someone out there you would be looking forward to collaborating with and who will that be?

A) I’d love to tour with Bob Dylan as he’s my songwriting hero.

Q) As a result of your talent mixed with a lot of hard work you have managed to build a strong and solid career over the years. Based on the lessons learned, what piece of advice would you give to someone who is trying to pave their way in the music industry?

A) Honestly, I have no idea how this business works. It’s constantly changing so the only notion I hang my hat on is that we must always stay curious, play and write every day and try to be as vulnerable as possible while writing and performing.

Q) What would you like to say to the fans and supporters of the music that you make?

A) Just an enormous thank you for allowing me to follow this dream I’m on.
