Q) Please tell us the premise for the series “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.”

A) So, the premise of a “Good Girls Guide” to murder is Pip (Emma Myers), a clever schoolgirl, looking into the murder of another teenager from her school who died four years before. In and amongst the murder and mystery, there is also plenty of comedy, coming of age relationships and friendships. Holly Jackson is a wonderful storyteller.

Q) How was your character Connor Reynolds originally described to you?

A) Connor was described to me as very lovable, outgoing and a bit of a clown around his friends.

Q) Was there something about the series or this role that really made you want to be a part of the show?

A) I mean, for me, it was quite exciting getting to play someone who is a couple years younger than me, so I have lived through that time in life. And it was cool to show it on camera that sort of awkward teenage experience that I know everyone has been through.

Q) Had you read the book before diving into your role or were you hoping to make him your own?

A) I did read the book once I got the part and before we started filming and I don’t think it affected me too much when building the character because I think Connor and I are very similar. So, it was kind of like I was reading a description of me. [laughs] Reading it also excited me knowing that I was going to be filming it in the summer.

Q) Were you familiar with any of your co-stars before working with them?

A) I obviously knew of Emma from “Wednesday,” but I didn’t know anyone in the cast before filming with them. We all got along so quickly, I think when you spend so much time in such close proximity to each other it’s kind of hard not to become friends, and we’re still very close now. We had such a brilliant time together in Bristol last summer.

Q) This series is so intense and intriguing. What were some of your favorite moments from filming?

A) The series is very intense. I think I’m quite privileged in the fact that almost all my scenes are light-hearted, so I didn’t have to deal with too much intensity. I really enjoyed filming the lake scene, I think we all did, and I’m hoping it translates on camera just how much fun we were having. We literally just got to swim around in a lake, and it was very hot that day, so it was nice to jump in and cool off.

Q) How did you all shake off a long day of being on set?

A) We were filming the series in Bristol and there are a lot of great restaurants there, so almost every day after filming we’d go out and get a meal together. We were all staying in the same hotel, so we’d also get takeaways and have a feast in one of our hotel rooms, which was good fun!

Q) “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” is absolutely captivating as it mixes drama, sci-fi, adventure, mystery and more. Is that what you think is going to make it such a fast fan favorite series?

A) I think the series is very, very edge of your seat, so it’s hard not to binge it all and I think people like binging series so, yeah, hopefully it will become a fan favorite quickly.

Q) What are the other projects that you have been busy working on?

A) I have “Here We Go” Season Three, which I start filming in October so that’s exciting.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of the wonderful work you do on our screens?

A) I want to say thank you. It’s been so exciting meeting people and them knowing about the book and the TV series and having enjoyed it. So, thank you very much.
