Interviews
Julia Faye West – A Week in London
By: Jamie Steinberg
Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?
A) The best film I’ve had the honor of playing the lead character in and co-producing is one that’s currently in development. It’s tentatively titled A Week in London.
Q) Please tell us the premise for A Week in London and about your character London Logo.
A) A Week in London follows an heiress’ quest to show the world she isn’t just another “it” girl and pretentious celebutante. After a rise to worldwide notoriety, London suffers a serious head injury and experiences a reawakening. The following week she allows a BBC documentary crew to follow her to show a more serious side. The irony is that the serious side is hysterical. This is the most exciting film I have worked on to date. I’m honored to play the lead character, Ms. London Logo, and share the spotlight with several of my favorite celebrities. This phenomenal film will be released in the Spring of 2016.
Q) What made you want to be a part of the project?
A) I’ve always wanted to focus on comedy work and this was the funniest script I’ve ever read. It was the chance to be gifted with the opportunity to work as the lead character and also with wonderful people.
Q) Was there anything you added to your role of London that wasn’t originally scripted for you?
A) Absolutely, some of the best comedy comes from spontaneity. We pulled from hilarious ideas from several cast and crew creatives.
Q) What are some moments that you can tease you are most looking forward to fans seeing?
A) This film allowed me such a full range of opportunity to show different sides of my character from red carpets and jet set extravagance to homelessness and doing jail time.
Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming?
A) I love working with animals. Carrying my dog on the LA Fashion Week runway was awesome. Everything from talented rodents to desert donkeys – we had so much fun filming I wouldn’t know where to start!
Q) You are a part of social media. Are you looking forward to the instant fan feedback you will be receiving?
A) I’m always prepared to give my best to any new creative endeavor. Success occurs when preparation meets opportunity.
Q) What do you hope viewers take away from watching A Week in London?
A) Enjoyment, laughter and understanding of the deeper message.
Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?
A) Stay tuned, this is just the beginning!
