Q) What about the premise of the film A Dark Foe and the writing that really drew you to the project?

A) I really liked the part I play. I want to play more Latina roles and I thought this part was incredibly vulnerable and yet would do anything to protect her babies.

Q) The cinematography of the movie is so dark and textured. It really amps up the suspense and adrenaline rush of the scenes and terrifying twists. How does the movie tone really play up the themes we see?

A) I honestly haven’t seen the film so I’m not sure how it ended up looking. I did do one day where we shot in a basement and it looked pretty dark and moody…Pretty cool.

Q) The movie feels like a head trip that will keep viewers on edge and mess with their minds. When watching, what do you think will stand out the most with this hypnotic drama?

A) I hope it’s the connections the characters have…at least in my scenes I loved the incredible bond the three of us had.

Q) Maria Gabriela Cardenas directed the film, what is it about her eye and astute vision for the movie that really helped propel it from her helm?

A) Maria is such a young force. I was pleased to find out how young and eager she is about this project. You can see her passion behind it while on set. I hope her vision made it to the big screen.

Q) What did you find the most challenging aspect of being a part of the film?

A) I didn’t have much of a challenge really. I loved playing their mother and setting a foundation for their lives. I think it shows in the connection he holds onto throughout the entire script.

Q) You play so well off of your castmates, your delivery with each line is wrought in emotion and intense conviction. Where do you really draw from for the drive your character embodies?

A) I really enjoyed working with the kids. They’re so talented. Such a pleasure to play their set mom. I loved channeling my nurturing sense of motherhood.

Q) It seems like your new character Andrea on “Supergirl” is set to rock Lena’s world and Supergirl’s, too. What can you tease about what we’ll be seeing from her this season and the gray areas she may sink into?

A) I play Andrea Rojas the new owner of Catco worldwide. She also runs a Fortune 500 company. She is very classy and very wealthy. She’s a force you can’t ignore.

Q) No villain really sees them as a villain, they see their actions as being done for a greater good. Can you talk about how we explore that this season with the themes of “Supergirl?”

A) Can’t say much about this season, but I do get to play a character that may or may not be liked. I’m having a blast playing her. There’s such a complexity to her that I love and feel beyond grateful to be in. She’s not a villain at all to me, but that’s why everyone will have to tune in.

Q) You are a part of social media. Do you enjoy the instant fan feedback you receive to the work you do?

A)  I have a love/hate relationship with social media. It can be so great for so many reasons- movements, support, organizations, connection with so many but it can also consume your life. You have to be very careful. I’d like to keep my personal life private and share things that mean something to me.

Q) You do a lot of charity work on behalf of animals. What makes this such an important cause that is close to your heart?

A) I love dogs so much! I’ve had dogs my whole life and I can’t imagine life without them. They’re the most loyal love you’ll ever have in your life.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of the work you do?

A) Thank you!! I’ve been doing this for a very long time and I can’t imagine any other life. I’m beyond grateful of this opportunity of living my dreams.
