Q) Were you a fan of “Game of Thrones” before taking on this role?

A) Yes, I love the show and am up to date on all the series so was so excited when the audition came in. Along with “Breaking Bad” and “True Detective,” I think it’s one of the best shows ever made.

Q) How was your character originally described to you?

A) He was described as a very honorable warrior to Khal Moro (Joe Naufahu) and is willing to die for him. When a khal dies, the bloodrider has to sacrifice himself in honor of him.

Q) What was your audition like for the show?

A) The audition was in London. I didn’t want any regrets so I completely went for it. They asked me to take my top off. Thankfully, I didn’t eat any carbs that morning so maybe that helped. [laughs]

Q) How hard was it for you to learn Dothraki?

A) Dothraki is very tough to learn, I just recorded it on my phone and listened to it every day. But once it’s in your head you will never forget it.

Q) What was it like working with Emilia Clarke?

A) She was amazing, very sweet and humble. We were playing charades on set and she also taught the Dothraki boys a new game. We all had to draw an animal in thirteen seconds and then vote the winner. It all got very competitive when Tamer Hassan asked us all to start making £1 bets each game.

Q) Talk about your experience on set filming the fire sequence in episode Book of The Stranger.

A) The fire sequence was crazy! We had to run through an engulfed set. I felt like a stuntman running through flames, but really loved every minute. It was so exciting and an actors dream.

Q) What did you do to pass the time during filming?

A) We were Dothraki on set and off set so there wasn’t any quiet moments. We were very loud and became like brothers.

Q) Was there someone from “Game of Thrones” you wished you had gotten to work with?

A) I am a Sheffield lad and so is Sean Bean, who is a fantastic actor and has had an amazing career. So, I would have loved to work with him. Maybe one day I will, but in something else.

Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming the series?

A) When my agent told me, I was in shock. I hadn’t had an audition in months and even came to LA for a year, but hardly got many auditions. So, I was thinking of finding a new career and maybe coming back to acting later on in life. That phone call gave me hope and fresh belief in myself and I was so thankful to God as it felt like such a beautiful blessing.

Q) How does it feel seeing yourself in one of the most watched shows?

A) It was amazing! The show looks great and the sets are unreal. So, to have this on your resume will hopefully open more doors in the future. It’s a show so many people love so to be part of it was truly unforgettable. I have made some amazing friends, too.
