Kate McClafferty – Dog Gone It

Q.  What are the current projects that you are working on?

A.  I have just finished Must Love Dogs and Rumor Has It comes out in December.  I am going to start hosting a TV show called “Night Guide” in L.A.

Q.  You’ve recently starred in the hit movie Must Love Dogs, what do you think it is about the film that is drawing in so many viewers?

A.  Well, probably the adorable Diane Lane and John Cusack, but it’s just a goofy romantic comedy.  People just love it!

Q.  What’s the premise for the movie Rumor Has It and what can you tell us about your role?

A.  Rumor Has It is supposed to be a take onThe Graduate, but it’s supposed to be twenty years later.  Jennifer Aniston is discovering that Shirley MacLaine is Mrs. Robinson and her family is based on the film The Graduate.  They try to get to the bottom of it and I play her sister’s, who is played by  Mena Suvari, ditzy blonde bridesmaid at her wedding. 

Q.  Why should viewers take the time to check out the movie Rumor Has It?

A.  Because it’s got everyone in it, it’s got Kevin Costner, Mark Ruffalo, Shirley MacLaine, Jennifer Aniston, Mena Suvari and it’s directed by Rob Reiner so every scene is hysterical, every scene is fun.

Q.  Do you have a most memorable moment from filming Rumor Has It?

A.  It was great filming the wedding scene because I got to see everybody work together.  Shirley MacLaine, Jennifer Aniston, Mark Ruffalo and Mena Suvari were all in that scene so it was great to watch the whole thing unfold.  Working with Rob Reiner was amazing, he can get the scene done in one take, that’s for sure!

Q.  You’ll be launching your website soon, what aspects will you be offering fans?

A.  It’s just going to have an update on the show “Night Guide,” it doesn’t really start airing until October, people can offer up ideas if there is something they like to do in L.A. and if they like certain things too, I’d love to hear that. 

Q.  What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

A.  I do a lot of hiking and a lot of outdoor activities.  I like reading, going out to dinner, there are so many good restaurants in L.A. and I love to try new restaurants every night if possible. 

Q.  Do you have a latest obsession, are you into any particular book, sport, music group or activity?

A.  I just finished The Time Traveler’s Wife, it’s an amazing book and I’m trying to offer it to every friend I have to read it.  It’s great, any new book that any friend offers me I’ll read, I love reading.

Q.  What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?

A.  Thank you so much, I’m having the best time, I am loving creating and being a part of it and thanks for the opportunity to do so!
