Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) I’m currently writing and working on developing a new show. Teachers was such an amazing experience because I got to write, executive produce and star in it. So, I’d love to do that all over again!

Q) Please tell us what is new the second half of this season of Teachers?

A) There’s so much new in the second half of this season! These are the last ten episodes of the series, so you will start to see everything wrap up and come together in a very special way!

Q) What continues to challenge you about your portrayal?

A) The biggest challenge for me was to not “break” or laugh on set. When you’re working with so many funny and talented people, it’s hard not to laugh through every scene, so I had a tough time keeping my composure.

Q) The “Johnny Rivioli” episode was this season was a fan favorite! What were some of your favorite Season 3 moments from filming?

A) Oh my gosh, there are so many. I think my favorite season three moment was filming the premiere episode “Thoughts and Bears.” The episode addresses gun control and guns in schools and it’s a really important episode that we’ve been wanting to write for a long time. I’m so proud of it and I got to film with a real live 900lb bear, which was absolutely crazy. Definitely an experience I’ll never forget.

Q) Were there any wardrobe or classroom pieces you took home with you as a memory from your time on Teachers?

A) Yes! Ironically, I took home a lot of Ms. Snap’s clothes! Every time we would get on set I would look at what Ms. Snap was wearing and say, “I love that!” There’s a purple and green 80’s jumpsuit that she wore in “Operation Egg Drop” that I’m obsessed with and wear out all the time.

Q) What made TV Land a special space for the series?

A) I don’t think this series would have been possible without TV Land. They believed in our voice and the show and they were so supportive. I will be forever grateful to all the executives we worked with; they continually supported us, protected the show and encouraged us to be ourselves and stay true to our voice, which is very rare.

Q) What have you personally taken away from working on the show?

A) I’ve taken away so much, but my biggest takeaway is gratitude. I’m so grateful to have gotten the opportunity to create a show that I’m really proud of with my best friends. Teachers was like a masters class in television: we got to write, star in, executive produce, edit…I mean, we got to do it all. I’m so grateful to have gotten the opportunity to learn so much in such a supportive environment. I’ll also take away so many happy memories.
