Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Rhythm and grunge

Q) Music is a way you’ve said that helps you connect with others – Who are some artists that you take inspiration from and can connect with?

A) Bryson Tiller and Travis Scott. My whole teens I spent listening to R&B. My childhood was rock then I got back into rock when I was 17/18 years old.

Q) Your new single “4AM” is very much stripped back and raw sounding, compared to your single beforehand “Prescription Kid.” What made you want to explore this side?

A) I wrote “PK” before I wrote “4am.” It wasn’t really about exploring it was more about just what came naturally. I’ve always wanted to be a rock artist.

Q) What was the inspiration behind “4AM?”

A) Addiction.

Q) The lyrics “Cigarettes, and sex, helps us get past all of it again” are the most stand out and catchy lyrics in the song, while also emphasizing the sense of missing someone and the breaking point that this can cause. Does writing about your thoughts/feelings help you release the emotions that you perhaps don’t want to talk to about?

A) Yes, it does. I find that music can also be an introspective experience for the write and the listener at the same time.

Q) The song is also really catchy due to the melody of the song – Was this your intention when you first started to create the song?

A) Yes, definitely. I love this melody.

Q) What is your process for writing songs?

A) It’s different every time. Sometimes it starts with the guitar, sometimes it starts with a sound. Whatever perks my ears is what will create the song.

Q) You haven’t been shy to talk about your road to recovery with addiction and mental illness, which lead to inspiring you to write your latest singles. As an artist do you find it hard to release these vulnerable songs about your feelings and life to the world or do you find a sense of comfort?

A) Both – I definitely find it hard sometimes to open up about my feelings but also find a sense of comfort.

Q) Do you think it is important for artists in today’s world to release more raw and vulnerable songs that help raise awareness for mental health?

A) I think it’s important for artists to feel like they do whatever is right for them. If you are honest with yourself then you will be happy with what you create and at the end of the day that’s the only thing that matters. I don’t think you should force yourself to speak about issues that you’re not actually suffering with.

Q) Throughout this year you’ve released 4 different singles – Are you currently working on a follow up album after we surround ourselves with chaos that was released last year and what can fans expect from you for the remainder of 2020?

A) We surround ourselves with chaos’ isn’t actually an album. I am currently working on a lot of music and a project. I have a new single dropping in three weeks.

Q) What advice would you give to someone who may be reading this or listening to your music that is currently going through a tough time and find comfort within your music?

A) Hit me on Instagram and we can talk.

Q) Lastly, what would you like to say to everyone who is a supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you for listening to me, I love you and I appreciate you.
