Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) My sound has evolved through the years. Living on both coasts has allowed my musical influences to become a part of my sound, including Fleetwood Mac, Dolly Parton and, of course, the music of other singer songwriters.  I am a storyteller, and my music is my palate inspired by some of the most iconic legends in the business.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) There are so many! Fleetwood Mac, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston and more. There are so many, and I am grateful.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “In Love with Tennessee.”

A) This song was inspired by my real-life story of how torn I was not living in Tennessee. Every time I would leave, I felt like I was leaving a piece of my heart here. I was desperately wanting to be in Nashville, and it was so hard on me. So, now I am living on both coasts, which has earned me the nickname “Coastal Cowgirl.”  I am living my best life living in two of my favorite places.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think anyone who has had to make a choice between two things they love can relata and I am truly blessed to be able to create my music in two places.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) I am excited for my fans to see the music video – it is dropping soon.  The focus on the video is my love for Tennessee and some of the beauty that inspires my music.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) My song writing process depends on who I am co-writing with. One of my favorite aspects of songwriting is sharing ideas and bringing a concept to life with lyrics and melodies. I love being a part of the country music songwriting community.

Q) You worked with wonderful producers Kent Wells and Jon Luzzi on “In Love with Tennessee,” but how much of a say do you have in the production of your music?

A) I have worked with Kent Wells on many of my songs, but on this single I had the pleasure of working with John Luzzi. It is always exciting to draw inspiration from different producers.  The creative process is always evolving in the studio.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) I am currently working on new music and will be dropping singles through the end of the year.  I look forward to dropping an EP or LP.  For now, I am focused on delivering new music to my fans on a consistent basis.

Q) You performed at the iconic Bluebird Cafe. What did that experience mean to you?

A) Oh my gosh, that experience was so surreal. I literally was so emotional being there. I had tears because it’s such a magical place and you feel it the moment you walk in. But then to sit in that intimate circle with other talented songwriters is an honor.  Playing The Bluebird had been on my bucket list for years. I look forward to playing in that iconic venue again.

Q) You’ve previously dueted with the iconic Paul Anka. Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I would love to collaborate with any artist and songwriter who loves their job as much as I do! I dream big so Eminem, Post Malone, Keith Urban, Dolly Parton and Carrie Underwood are high on my bucket list!

Q) What artist/musician are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Lainey Wilson, Anne Wilson, Cody Johnson, Zac Bryan – I also support and love the work that indie artists are releasing and support all of my friends in the business. We all start out as independent artists and it is inspiring to see other artists shine and grow in their careers.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media is such a powerful platform.  It allows me to connect directly with my friends and fans while allowing me a vast space to share my life and music.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I want to say thank you – thank you from the bottom of my heart. My biggest inspiration is being able to share my life through songs with my fans and supporters. You all keep me going and I appreciate your support and accolades.
