Kyle Gallner – Kid Cassidy
Q. We only got to see a small glimpse of your character last season. Will viewers get to know more of him this season?
A. Yeah, I am guaranteed twelve episodes so you’ll see me at least twelve times. It’s better than three!
Q. Does it feel better now that your character has an actual name to him rather than the nickname “Beaver”?
A. The only person who calls me by my real name is Veronica and that kind of establishes a little bit more of a friendship. Whereas Dick and Logan they still call me Beaver because I’m the young kid in the group. So, it’s kind of cool that someone actually calls me by my real name.
Q. What information were you originally given about the character of “Cassidy Casablancas”?
A. Not too much really, I kind of just figure it out as I go. I get the script an episode at a time and I wing it as I go pretty much.
Q. What made you want to be a part of the show “Veronica Mars”?
A. I did a three episode guest spot and then my agent and my manager told me that there is potential for them to write me in as a main character this season. I was just excited to do it, I wanted to do it.
Q. The other day you all had a mall signing, what was that experience like for you?
A. It was in the beginning a little nerve-wracking because I had never done anything like that. So, as the night went on it was really fun, everyone was really nice and it was a good experience.
Q. Do you have a most memorable moment from filming “Veronica Mars”?
A. Not yet. It’s pretty fun between me and Ryan just goofing off on the set and just hanging out, that’s pretty much all that’s gone down so far. Nothing too crazy.
Q. Your character is the stepson to Charisma Carpenter’s character. How has it been working with this talented actress?
A. It’s cool, she’s really nice and she’s a real nice person, she’s nice to hang out with and yeah. I haven’t worked with her too much; so far I’ve had one or two scenes with her.
Q. You and Ryan have some great brotherly chemistry on screen. How are things off for the two of you?
A. It’s pretty much the same, it’s not crazy. Ryan and I get along really well, we’re pretty much on the same wavelength like all the time, it’s just non-stop. We goof off basically on set.
Q. What are your passions besides acting?
A. I really enjoy drawing, I draw very often and I goof around on my skateboard every once in a while.
Q. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
A. I hang out with my buddies, I hang out with my really good buddy Jake. He and I write every once in a while, we write like short films and mess around. We mess around with just ideas for writing and then we go out and hang with some buddies of ours out here. Just basically what every eighteen year-old does.
Q. What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?
A. I would like to say thank you very much and just keep watching!
