La La Locked – Famous In Love

The episode starts back at Jordan (Keith Powers) and Rainer’s (Carter Jenkins) house just as Jordan is waking up. Jordan heads to the shower where he thinks that the girl he went home with the previous night is in the shower. He tells her he is going to join her before Harper Tate (Danielle Campbell) walks out of the shower instead. Stunned Jordan stands there before Harper says she all done any way and asks for a towel. Jordan hands it to her as she leaves and comes to the conclusion Rainer is home.

 

Rainer comes home from an early morning surf and greets Jordan. They make small talk about Harper and Jordan asks if he is going back to work. Rainer tells him he is taking it day by day. Harper comes in and properly introduces herself to Jordan and takes off. Rainer asks to hang out, but Jordan tells him he is busy promoting himself for his Oscar nomination. Jordan tells him rain check and takes off.

 

Meanwhile, Jake (Charlie DePew) and Paige (Bella Thorne) continue to shoot their independent film. Jake directs the scene and cuts to check on how much time he has left to use his actors. He makes some orders and the crew breaks for five and he breaks for a quick session with Paige.

 

Rainer reads a book on finding peace with sobriety and tries other things to keep himself busy and out of trouble. He ends up googling Paige and finding out that she has ended up with Jake. He turns to social media where he finds a hashtag of poor Rainer and it sparks new feelings.

 

Nina (Perrey Reeves) wakes up in Alan’s (Shawn Christian) bed and freaks out a bit. She rushes to get dressed and tells Alan that it will never happen again. Alan persuades her to stay a little longer. They try to ignore their phones, but they begin to blow up. As they give into their phones and look to see what is all the commotion they find out that Rainer is out of rehab. Both of them scurry to get dressed and head out.

 

Joanie (Sophia Ali) drops by the set of the indie film to give Paige a latte, but also tell her that Rainer is out of rehab. She shows her a happy photo of Rainer and Harper holding hands. Joanie gets a game plan together to help Paige stay ahead of he online hate.

 

Rainer helps out with Harper’s charity event and exchanges selfies for bags of trash to help out. Harper thanks him for coming because he has brought a huge crowd of fans with him. Everyone gets to work as Nina and Alan show up. Nina tries to get Rainer to come back to work but he get’s mad and shuts down. Alan attempts to smooth things over, but Rainer is not backing down. The part and we see that Harper has been listening to every word.

 

Jordan visits a school for good publicity and tries to hit on a teacher, but she shoots him down politely.

 

Paige scrolls through more photos of Rainer before Jake tells her they are ready to go. Paige tells Jake that Rainer is out of rehab and that is why Joanie stopped by. Jake is suddenly concerned that Paige will have to leave and go back to work when they still have two weeks left to shoot their indie. Paige tells him not to worry because Rainer doesn’t seem interested in going back to work any time soon. Jake’s insecurities start to come out as his mood shifts.

 

Back at the school Jordan talks to the teacher Marisol (Janis Valdez) about wanting to come back and hang out with the kids. She tells him that is what all the celebrities tell her. They come for one day take a bunch of photos for publicity and never come back again. Jordan reassures her that he is different and he will be back the next day for game night with the kids. Marisol smiles and shakes her head as Jordan leaves.

 

Alexis (Niki Koss) gets prepped and sits in a chair for her reality show as Ida (Vanessa Williams) grills her about Rainer and her past before showing her a video of the previous night when Tangey (Pepi Sonuga) revealed to her the secret about Jordan and Nina having an affair.  We learn that Alexis had no idea there were cameras in her room that night and freaks out to Ida about privacy. Ida explains that when she signed up for the show she relinquished all rights to privacy. Ida tells her she needs to make a decision if she wants a season two pick up friends or fame. Alexis sits down and weighs the options.

 

Rainer and Harper make it back home and decide on staying in. Rainer tries to be intimate with Harper, but she changes the subject to what Rainer’s parents said to him at the beach clean up. She tells him that he should go back to work but he tells her his job is meaningless. Harper tells him that his celebrity status means a lot and he brought out a bunch of people that day to clean up the beach. Harper’s words sit well with Rainer which makes him kiss her.

 

Nina argues on the phone to renew her insurance for the movie in her office. She gets mad and hangs up when Alan walks in. Nina tells him that she will pack up her office. Alan tells her that it is not her fault and she should stop beating herself up.

 

Back in Paige’s room she tries on an outfit with a stylist and Joanie who approve of it instantly. Jake barges in with a bit of an attitude and tells Paige they need to talk. Everyone leaves and Paige asks him what’s wrong. Jake tells Paige that he doesn’t think that her schedule will mesh with their indie. Paige says that she wishes that she could do both. More designers interrupt them and Jake tells her everything will be fine he kisses her and leaves.

 

Jake sits with Cass (Georgie Flores) at a bar and they talk and try to problem solve about their indie. Paige enters and asks how the brainstorming is going. Jake figures out an idea of recasting Paige’s part with Cass but Paige shoots down the idea telling them that the entire movie would need to be reshot. Paige orders another round and they brainstorm again. They decide on the actress from the diner.

 

Nina packs her office and drinks when Rainer comes in and tells her that he will be finishing locked. He is only going to do it for anyone but her. He tells her that after this movie he is done. The next day Nina quickly makes the phone calls to the entire cast to tell them that production is resuming on Monday and she needs them for a Facebook live announcement that night. Cass and Paige talk in bed about how Paige doesn’t know how she is going to go back to work and fake her scenes with someone who won’t even talk to her.

 

Tangey and Alexis meet without cameras and Alexis vents to Tangey about how she doesn’t get any privacy anymore. She needs to be reassured by Tangey again that they are friends. Tangey tells her they are and to stop worrying. When Alexis gets back to her apartment Ida is sitting in her apartment waiting for an answer for the footage they have. Alexis tells her Tangey is the only friend she has and she is not going to be airing that footage. Ida tells Alexis she better have something more juicy for the show. Alexis tells her not to worry because she will be getting the entire juicy scoop from the locked set.

 

Jake enters the diner looking for the waitress, but is informed that she was fired. Jake tries to ask the manager for her number, but he tells him that he is not handing out her number to anyone. Jake leaves upset.

 

Paige and Jordan get ready for the Facebook live and reunite. Paige congratulates him on his Oscar buzz and asks him about Rainer. Jordan tells her he’s doing ok. Paige continues to press him about Rainer and asks his advice on how to go about shooting their scenes. Jordan gives her sage advice and assures her that things will be ok.

 

Alexis approaches the lot with her camera crew and is intercepted by Nina. Nina tells her that they are not allowed inside and she needs to choose between her show and shooting the Facebook live. Alexis says she will not come in without her crew. Nina is quick to lock Alexis out of the Facebook live event and close the door on her.

 

The entire cast fakes it for the camera and Facebook live in order to please the studio and Nina. As the Facebook live ends, Paige tries to get Rainer’s attention but he takes off quickly. Paige chases after him and gets him to finally stop and turn around. She apologizes and asks him about shooting their scenes. Rainer replies that her leaving him at the press conference was the single best thing to happen to him because he met someone that he has a better connection with. He leaves her with a sharp hit to the heart telling her not to worry about playing two people in love because it is called acting.

 

Rainer digs through his pantry in search for alcohol. When he finds some Jordan finds him. Jordan questions him about what he is doing and he pretends he was looking for food. Jordan decides to stay in with him and help him, but that means he also has to cancel on game night with the kids.

 

Paige opens the door to find Jake standing in the hall dressed to the nines. Jake apologizes to Paige for his actions and thinks they made their relationship all about working. He then tells her they were never able to go on a date. He asks her out and they enjoy their night out.

 

Alexis sits at home and re-watches the scene that unfolded on the lot with Nina. After taking a swig of alcohol, Alexis turns on her camera and records herself faking how she felt about hearing the news of Jordan and Nina’s affair.
