Interviews
Lauren Potter – Glee
Q) What has been your most treasured memory from being on Glee?
A) Being with all the other actors and crew and all the “Glee” family and kind of growing up with all of them. I will always remember Cory Monteith and the time I got to spend with him.
Q) You have such great comedic timing, is that something that’s come naturally or something you have studied?
A) I think I’m pretty funny and people tell me I am, but I think I’ve gotten to be much better from being on the show for 5 years. I get to do some pretty crazy things on the show!
Q) What part of filming the episode Shooting Star was the most difficult for you?
A) The hardest part was the whole gun thing. It was really hard for me because it seemed so real and it was pretty shocking for me. The real Lauren would never, ever do that. It was really scary even though I knew it wasn’t real.
Q) You and Jane Lynch had such a special relationship together, what do you love the most about working with her?
A) She is really nice, so down to Earth and so special to me. She helped me so much when I was new and sort of scared. She made it so fun to work with her. She will always be my friend.
Q) What is your favorite aspect of Becky?
A) Becky is so confident, spunky and a little snarky. She is really funny, but she has a soft side too. I don’t like it when she is really mean though!
Q) Besides Jane, who has been your favorite cast member to work with and why?
A) I really like working with Lea Michele because she is so nice and she is such a good singer. I also like that she never gives up and she faced her fears, even when her heart was broken.
Q) If you could write a storyline for Becky, what would you like to see?
A) I would have liked her to be a part of the Glee Club and I would like her to fall in love with someone who loves her back.
Q) You do a lot of speaking engagements on behalf of Special Olympics and Best Buddies, why is that important to you?
A) Because they help me and other people by bringing people together in big groups of friends and family, with and without disabilities, to have fun and make friends and bond with each other. It makes me feel proud and the athletes feel proud because they get to do amazing things.
Q) What does being named as an Ambassador for the Special Olympics 2015 World Games mean to you?
A) I am so proud to be the Ambassador because Special Olympics is so wonderful and the athletes that I get to meet are so amazing!
Q) Also, what do you enjoy about speaking on college campuses?
A) I love talking about following my dreams and helping people realize that they should never ever give up on their dreams. They can make their dreams come true too if they work hard and never give up!
Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?
A) I love you all and am having so much fun being on “Glee.” I hope Becky is coming back for Season 6…Keep watching! I am looking forward to doing a lot more acting in the future. Keep following your dreams and I will, too.
