Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Too honest for my own good.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) At the moment, I’m listening to a lot of The Cardigans, MJ Lenderman, Clairo, Adrianne Lenker and grew up listening to The Eagles and Steely Dan.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Kiss My Apocalypse.”

A) “Kiss My Apocalypse” is basically about telling the person you love that you’d be with the forever, even through an apocalypse.

Q) What is your songwriting process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) I find it easiest to find a flow when I’m writing with just a guitar. I love writing acoustically and usually the melody and lyrics come hand in hand and get written together.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I definitely play a big role in deciding which world the production is going to sit in, always love building a playlist of references. That being said, I love the collaboration of working with a producer and love to trust my songs with producers I love and respect and they often play a huge role in creating the production.

Q) Your EP What’s Dead and Gone is out now. What inspired the title?

A) I was basically saying goodbye to a bunch of habits, relationships, people and situations that were no longer serving me.

Q) “Kiss My Apocalypse” is a banger! Which song(s) on your recent EP hold a special place in your heart?

A)  I think “Use Me” is such a fun song and unlike any other I’ve released. Super fun to play on stage as well.

Q) You have been out on tour with Honne. Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I’ve enjoyed touring with them so, so much. Everywhere we go is really such a dream. Traveling anywhere in Asia is always the best for me.

Q) Which songs off the EP have you been enjoying playing live or maybe getting the most fan interaction?

A) As I mentioned, “Use Me” has been such a fun song to play live. I love seeing people dancing.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I would DIE if I could collaborate with Spacey Jane, my favourite band for a while now.

Q) What artist/musician are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I love the raw and live feeling of MJ Lenderman and Adrianne Lenker’s work, so I’ve been listening to loads of them. Also, I’ve been listening to loads of The Cardigans. I love the production and how alternative it is.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you forever and ever. I am working so so hard to make this year special and I couldn’t thank you guys enough x
