Q) First off, congratulations on the release of your track “Internet!” It’s such an amazing song! Tell us a little about the creation process. 

 

A) Thank you! I’m so happy you enjoy listening to it. It’s not easy going up against technology. People are worried if they’ll have jobs in the future and I’m worried if a guy will ever look at me again. Video games are incredible. I find that even I will put on VR and be entranced for hours before I enter back into the real world. I don’t even have to talk about how much we can hang out on our phones. We literally have the world in our pockets. There’s so much to discover, to learn and to be entertained by. How am I supposed to compete with all the fun?! I love video games but when do we put em’ down and look each other in the eye? Remember connecting person to person? Maybe it’s a thing of the past…So, where does this leave me?

 

Q) The lyrics in “Internet” are truly stunning. Did you find it easier to have the lyrics first or the music while crafting this song?  

 

A) I prefer music first. Music usually tells me what the song will be about.

Q) What I love and find very cathartic in a way is that you speak to the truth of reality right now with technology. Has the way that technology is influencing the world impacted you as a musical artist? 

 

A) Thank you! Absolutely. Technology is unbelievable and moving very fast. It is not easy to keep up and if you don’t try to, it leaves you in the dust. I’m all about a robot helping me out but please don’t steal my voice.

Q) With such an amazing message and lyrics, I can only imagine how epic a music video would be for “Internet.” Are there any plans for one to release? 

 

A) Please check out my music video!! It currently has 63K YouTube views! It was directed by The Dor Brothers and is my favorite AI video I’ve created so far. They listened to me which made the process so much fun and the ending result perfect. I almost cried happy tears when I saw the finished product.

Q) What makes “Internet” so different from any of your past songs? 

 

A) Good question! This year I released a passion project album called Broken Smile then hit it hard with releasing high energy songs (“Body,” “My Creator” and “Vagabond”)! I felt it was time to put a song out that was super chill, super relatable and very nostalgic for me.

Q) What has the fan response been to your new song?

 

A) This song has already beat all my other views on YouTube and the radio stations love it! I’m so happy people are embracing the song and the message.

Q) You also just released “Vagabond” a couple months ago, did you find that while creating “Internet” and “Vagabond” one was harder to formulate over the other? 

 

A) Not at all. I love all my songs so much. I had the best time creating “Vagabond” and “Internet” equally.

Q) What is the message or emotion you want fans and listeners to take away from the music that you make? 

 

A) My message as an artist is to be limitless. Write what makes you love music and don’t let anyone stop you from being you. Lots of the wrong people have told me to pick a genre and stick with it. I’m so happy I didn’t listen! I grab from all genres depending on my mood when I’m writing. Be free! Music is supposed to make us feel and I’m in the business of making you feel good!

Q) What would you like to say to fans and supporters of your work? 

 

A) Thank you! I can’t thank you enough for taking time out of all the noise to listen to my songs. I can’t believe you found me and I’m so happy you did. I’m getting ready to take my music on the road and can’t wait to meet you all!
