Lucifer – All About Eve

We open at a crime scene with Chloe (Lauren German). Dan (Kevin Alejandro), walking by her side, wonders where Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is at. Chloe casually informs him they’re not working together anymore. Dan can’t believe it, but Chloe doesn’t wanna talk about it.

 

The victim’s name is Pablo. He imported designer jewelry according to his business partner Toby (Chris McGarry). Pablo was in Dubai for business and after a frantic message from him Toby went to meet him only to find him dead. Their looking for a missing necklace and someone who speaks Arabic.

 

When Dan leaves, Ella (Aimee Garcia) tries to find out what went on between Chloe and Lucifer. She can’t believe that Chloe and Lucifer are really done. But Chloe says they had a bad fight they can’t come back from. Ella wonders if Lucifer is okay. Chloe says he’s probably fine.

 

Lucifer appears to have been on an ongoing bender. He’s drunk and in a robe in LUX and then in the crowd above the noise he sees Eve (Inbar Lavi). She says, “Long time no see.”

 

To be clear, this is Eve from the Garden of Eden. So, what’s she doing in Los Angeles? It turns out when Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) took Charlotte to Heaven that Eve realized she could leave. She got bored and ventured down to Earth. Adam won’t be joining them. Eve says she never chose him and that she was created for him yet there was no love between them. Eve tells Lucifer that Adam didn’t love the real her. Lucifer says it hurts not being accepted for who you are. So, Eve is ready to have some fun.

 

Eve notices Lucifer is not in a party mood nor does he seem to want to hang out with her. He tries to send her off in a cab, but it seems the driver of the car is armed and dangerous. That necklace Toby from the crime scene mentioned? He wants it. He shoots Lucifer and drives off. Luckily, Lucifer is invulnerable.

 

So, when Eve left Heaven she woke up in a tomb across the ocean. Pablo gave her a ride via plane to the states and let her wear the necklace, but it’s for a guy named Bashir (Nicholas Massouh). Lucifer recognizes the name. He’s a scary guy. If Eve doesn’t give him the necklace things will get ugly.

 

Now, for Linda (Rachael Harris). She’s at the check-up with Amenadiel and a super-protective Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). It’s a boy!! No sign of wings yet.

 

Chloe and Dan go visit Bashir to question him. Chloe doesn’t want to admit it, but clearly she’s missing Lucifer and all his shenanigans. However, Dan is happy he’s gone. Bashir says he doesn’t know Pablo, which is clearly a lie. Well, he actually does but the last time he saw him he was alive. Dan wants to play bad cop and threatens to arrest Bashir and his associates. Chloe says she brought him along because he doesn’t act like Lucifer so chill. Lucifer is the magic word as it seems Bashir loves the guy. He’s spoken highly of Chloe and owes Lucifer a favor so Bashir decides to explain his relationship with Pablo. He was a fence for Pablo for expensive toys and women, but Pablo wasn’t great about paying. He was supposed to give Bashir the necklace in exchange for the debt being forgiven. It wouldn’t have been prudent to kill him. He shows them the video Pablo sent. Eve was wearing the necklace.

 

As Chloe and Dan are leaving Bashir’s place, Eve and Lucifer are entering. The good news is Eve didn’t kill Pablo. The bad news is she doesn’t know where the necklace is. Lucifer offered to just pay Bashir for the necklace, but he says no dice. It’s priceless and meant to be a gift for his wife. The Plan B is Lucifer offers to find the necklace and even parts ways.

 

Back to the angel baby. Amenadiel is excited about the future son. They can do tons of angelic things together. Linda is freaking out. Will the baby have powers? Will it be able to fly? How do they protect the baby? A fun fact is that angels are never children. When they’re created it seems they’re fully grown. That’s not comforting for Linda as she is the one expecting and has no clue what will happen.

 

Lucifer and Eve are searching for the necklace and Eve is fishing. She wants to know more about Chloe. Is she the reason Lucifer is being so distant? Lucifer says Chloe and he are no longer partners. On the necklace front, Eve says they need to look for a girl named Odessa.

 

Ella, who is at the police station, says the same thing. Odessa is a conwoman. She swindles rich men and usually hangs out in bars. Lucifer and Eve find Odessa first. She has the necklace, but she also has a bodyguard and won’t give it up. This leads to a bar fight and that gets broken up by Chloe and Dan.

 

Lucifer is not quite ready to be in the same room with Chloe and storms away. Eve goes after him and wants to know why being shot didn’t hurt him but being stabbed just now did. He explains it’s because of Chloe, but he insists he and the detective are over. He doesn’t want to talk about it because they need a new plan.

 

Chloe and Dan question Odessa (Ogy Durham). She says she’s a grifter and not a killer. She stole the necklace and gave it to the person who hired her to steal it. They can find it at a black market auction.

 

Now, for Maze and Chloe. At their apartment they acknowledge they’ve been avoiding each other. Maze says she’s been trying to give Chloe space, but is upfront about being upset. She knows she’s being keeping her away from Trixie and that she plotted against Lucifer. Chloe asks Maze to try and understand, that Angels and Demons is a lot for a former atheist to take in. Maze says she understands that Chloe’s weak and that Linda handled all this way better than she did. So, Maze is moving out.

 

This sends Chloe to Linda. She’s shocked that Linda has known the whole time. Chloe wishes she’d known because she’s been desperately needing another human to talk to about all this. She ask if Linda has seen his devil face. Linda has and agrees it can be jarring to say the least. Chloe doesn’t understand how she’s managed to be okay with it. Linda is still freaking out a bit about the unknowns with her baby, so she sort of goes off on a rant about how crazy the world really is. At the end she reigns it in and tells Chloe that as crazy as it all is she’s gotten some great things: a best friend, a great guy and a fascinating patient. Linda tells Chloe it all boils down to one question: does she want Lucifer in her life?

 

The next day at the station Eve shows up and tells Chloe she can help with the case. Chloe tries to question her, but in truth she doesn’t know a lot. It seems like like she just wants to know a little more about Chloe. Or a distraction. Lucifer comes to the station and gets Ella to tell him about the auction. He and Eve are crashing that party, but they won’t be alone. While at the party they run into Chloe who’s posing as a waitress. They have a slight problem. Lucifer needs the necklace and Chloe does too. Chloe asks Lucifer for help because the necklace could flesh out the killer. Lucifer asks why he should care. Chloe says despite recent events she thinks he still does. Eve encourages Lucifer to lend a hand.

 

Okay, so Pete (Alain Washnevsky) is Bashir’s associate who, as it turns out, hired Odessa to steal the necklace. However, he swears he didn’t kill Pablo and has an alibi. He insists he’d never have killed Pablo as he was always in debt, which was great for business. His partner Toby was always bailing him out.

 

Speaking of Toby, he’s got a gun to Eve’s head. He says he needs the necklace because Pablo’s antics bankrupted them. Toby says without the necklace he is ruined. When Pablo returned without the necklace, Toby lost it and killed him. Eve hits him where it hurts and gets away. Toby; however, is going to prison. There is still a problem though. The cops can’t give Lucifer the necklace.

 

Still concerned about the possibility of a flying angel baby, Linda and Amenadiel are babyproofing the ceiling. They’re interrupted by Maze who says she’s moving in. Auntie Maze is here to stay.

 

At the station Chloe is upset. She misses Lucifer. He makes her crazy, but they work well together and to answer Linda’s question she wants him in her life. With some encouragement from Ella she’s off to go talk to him.

 

Back at LUX Lucifer’s angry. He feels cheated out of the necklace, but Eve says they can steal it back. The only problem is Eve already stole it back. When it falls out of her pocket Lucifer’s mad. Was she not going to tell him? Lying is a trigger for him lately. Eve explains she didn’t want the adventure with him to end. Furthermore, she tells Lucifer she didn’t just leave Heaven to have fun, she wants to be with Lucifer. Lucifer says coming to earth just for him was a mistake.

 

Eve figures out Lucifer is been rejected by Chloe. She says she’s all too familiar with not being accepted, but Eve says she’s not Chloe. Lucifer tells Eve she doesn’t know the real him. So, Eve asks him to show her. He shows her his devil face and Eve kisses him and tells him he’s amazing. As the two share a passionate kiss Chloe walks in just in time to see. She turns around and leaves.
