Lucifer – Let Pinhead Sing!

Music blasting, performers getting ready to come on when suddenly the concert is interrupted by a firework being shot onto stage and hitting the singer. The next morning finds Lucifer (Tom Ellis) telling Linda (Rachael Harris) that he’s taken himself out of the light and is no longer helping Pierce (Tom Welling). Linda tells him that maybe the reason he’s taken a step back is because of the bomb scare that involved him and Chloe (Lauren German). Lucifer denies this claim saying that they put their lives on the line everyday and it’s all part of the job.

At the station Pierce is playing his guitar and singing when Ella (Aimee Garcia) walks in with a compliment box full of positive things about Pierce because she’s noticed that lately he’s seemed down. She suggests that he takes one of the papers out now to give it a go. Paper after paper are just compliments about his arms and how great they are. Ella leaves and runs straight into Dan (Kevin Alejandro) where she tells him that he needs to go in there and do something because he can help Pierce more than anyone. Meanwhile, Lucifer and Chloe interview the crew and manager Rohan (Tom Gallop) for Axara (Skye Townsend) who was replaced during that song by her back up Jill. They tell Chloe that no one knew that she and Jill had switched and that it means that Axara was the intended victim. Chloe tells everyone to not jump to conclusions until they find out everything at this Ella is arriving telling them that it wasn’t an accident. CeCe (Jillian Rose Reed) asks Rohan if they will be canceling the European tours to which he says no. Lucifer tells everyone that it means the shadowy figure will try again to get Axara. Lucifer starts talking out loud about how he can’t take himself out of his father’s spotlight, but he can take Chloe out of it. When she asks what he’s talking about he tells her that it’s nothing and that she will thank him later.

Chloe and Lucifer are going to talk to Axara as they walk Lucifer is talking to her bodyguard Bob (Smalls). When Chloe asks if Lucifer is coming he tells her that he’s not interested in what she’s doing and that he’s going to stay and talk to his new friend Bob. As Chloe marches off upstairs Lucifer tells Bob that they should probably go and they proceed to follow Chloe. They get to Axara’s room where she’s using sage to cleanse her room. They ask about anyone who would want to hurt her and CeCe comes up and hands Axara a smoothie. CeCe tells them that they should check out Axara’s social media and it’s at this Axara tells them that there was one guy Patrick (Steven Daniel Brun) who was pretty mean who she didn’t take serious at the time because he was a bit of a diva. Axara tells them that Patrick is her ex backup singer and a very toxic individual and that he’s a drama queen, but he did say he hoped she died a slow and painful death. Linda arrives at Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Chloe’s apartment with a gift wrapped double sided axe telling Maze through the door she wants to bury the hatchet and that she wants them to be friends again. As she talks, Maze is listening by the door and is still very upset with what happened between Linda and Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside). Linda tells Maze that no man is worth what they have and when she gets no response from Maze she places the axe by the door and leaves.

Chloe and Lucifer are in the interrogation room where they find Patrick and his lawyer Donovan McCann (Kelly Mantle). They ask about Axara and Patrick tells them that he quit and that working for Axara was grueling, but she didn’t fire him. Lucifer gets tired of all the mess and uses his mojo and asks Patrick what he really wanted. Patrick tells them that he wanted to be Axara only his version and a better version and that is why he would never want her dead because then he couldn’t compete with her if she was gone. Once they were done talking to Patrick, they meet with Ella who has gone through Axara’s social media. She tells them that Axara had more followers than the Pope. Lucifer tells them that he can’t think of anyone he cares about like that except for Ella and he gives her a shirt that says “World’s Greatest Forensic Scientist” on it. Ella asks if it’s her birthday to which Lucifer tells her, “Everyday is a celebration when you’re around, darling.” Chloe gets everyone back on track and Ella tells them that Axara’s assistant gave her access to everything and that one lucky fan was able to win a backstage VIP access and pulls up the account for a Benny and shows Chloe his tweets that were very disturbing. Lucifer and Chloe go to Benny’s place as she tells him what he’s doing and thinks about the bomb scare and protecting himself. When they get open the door they find that Benny was already dead.

Ella reads the note Benny left in a very dramatic way to Chloe who says she hopes no one ever loves her that much. They believe it was Benny who killed Jill because he had some major motive. Lucifer arrives handing out Axara swag to everyone in the station. Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) is talking to Linda about how much progress she has made except Linda is distracted. Linda explains to Charlotte what is happening and Charlotte offers her help to Linda because being a mediator is something she does best. Ella goes to Chloe and tells her that she was right about Benny not being the killer because he died a day before the firework was shot off.

Dan and Pierce go to LUX for a drink and Dan tells Pierce that maybe talking about it may help and that everything is better for him. Pierce opens up and revels how dark his thoughts are and his feelings which stumps Dan. Chloe and Lucifer go to Axara and tells her that she can’t sing because someone is still after her. As Lucifer pulls Chloe aside to talk about letting Axara perform, shots ring off causing Chloe to cover her until everything is calm. Lucifer places his jacket around Axara and asks if there is anything he can get her. Axara points out that Chloe was the one with the medic. Chloe walks over and tells Axara that she has her security detail all ready when Axara asks if it was set for tomorrow’s show. Chloe tells her that she is under twenty-four-hour LAPD security lead by her. Lucifer explains that she is the wrong person to do it and that he’ll do it. Ella finds a gun and tells them she is going to take it back to the lab to get checked out. Axara agrees to go with Lucifer which Chloe accepts because no one would expect to look for her there. When Lucifer gets back to his penthouse he finds Axara dancing and singing with his security guards when Bob asks Lucifer to help him. He dismisses the guards and asks how he can help Axara, she tells him he can help her warm up and he starts using the piano for warm ups as she gets upset for it being out of tune. They go about to making smoothies and get into a scuffle and end up spilling it on each other.

Chloe talks to Rohan about the insurance policy he has on Axara as he explains all managers have a policy like that on their performers. Charlotte sits down with Maze and Linda and tells them to talk and to clear the air. Linda gives a heartfelt speech to which Maze refuses to work the problems out. Suddenly, Linda and Maze are going at it leaving poor Charlotte to sit there and listen. Maze tells Linda to go to Hell to which Charlotte then interrupts them. Linda walks out saying she’s done. Axara tries to have sex with Lucifer when he tells her that he’s not in the mood. Lucifer tells her that he’s trying to take his focus off someone else. Axara connects the dots that he likes Chloe and Lucifer explains why he’s trying to keep Chloe away from him. She notes that he can’t let anyone come between him and everything he cares about in this life. Lucifer goes to get them a drink and when he comes back Axara is gone.

Ella comes back to Chloe with the contents from Benny’s autopsy. Chloe tells Ella she doesn’t think the manager is the killer. Dan and Pierce are still talking when he notices Amenadiel and tells Pierce he’s helped pull him out a dark spot. When he realizes they know each other, Dan gives them a moment to talk and walks away. Amenadiel tells Pierce that what he has planned ends now to which Pierce agrees to. Pierce asks how Amenadiel stays so positive and he explains that it’s called faith. Before they can talk anymore Axara starts playing the piano and singing as Lucifer goes to rush down. Dan tells him that he’s calling Chloe and Lucifer tells him not to because he’s got it and ends up singing to get Axara to go back upstairs. It turns into a singing battle when its over Axara tells Lucifer that no one is going to scare her form the spotlight. They start to go upstairs when CeCe shows up with a knife telling Lucifer he was supposed to protect Axara. CeCe tells Axara that she would take a break but then added two more years and asks when it would end, Axara says hopefully never to which CeCe tells her she’s tired of sharing her with everyone. CeCe admits to loving Axara, when she asks CeCe what she did Lucifer explains it right when Chloe comes in. Axara tells CeCe that music means more to her than anything when everything goes crazy Lucifer pushes CeCe out of the way and stands up with a knife in his shoulder. He pulls it out and sits down when Chloe asks what he was thinking tackling someone with a knife. He tells her that he wasn’t thinking about himself. The next day Pierce goes to talk to Chloe and notices the tickets for Axara as a thank you and basically invites himself. Lucifer shows up with his arm in a sling and he tells Pierce that he is back to status quo. He notices the tickets and asks when he should pick her up and she tells him that she and Pierce are going together. Axara performs that night. Maze takes the axe that Linda bought for her and snaps it over her knee, still unbelievably mad at her for what happened to Amenadiel. Lucifer goes to Linda telling her he thinks he made a horrible mistake.
