The sixth episode of Lucifer starts with a mysterious man placing a skateboard in the path of a rushed mother who was looking at her phone as she was going into the house. This causes a huge argument. We come to find out this man is Uriel (Michael Imperioli), Lucifer’s brother, who caused the mother to trip over the skateboard. He is also the one responsible for Chloe’s car accident that he stands by watching.

The next moment we shows Chloe (Lauren German) back at work with Lucifer (Tom Ellis) still questioning her on if she saw anything or if something strange had happened prior to the car crash. His sessions about his father being involved are still very high on his list so he also questions her on becoming roommates with Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) only to be interrupted by Trixie (Scarlett Estevez) demanding that Chloe read her a bed time story instead of going to work. The moment between Chloe and Trixie was what I look back at and sense that the writers used to foreshadow a very intense and very pivotal moment between Lucifer and Charlotte (Tricia Helfer). The moment concludes with Lucifer saying that what was happening between mother and daughter was a good source of child birth.

When Chloe and Lucifer arrive at the crime scene, Lucifer’s fanboy side shows when he identifies the body as that of Wesley Cabot, the star of his favorite action movie series. Not to mention the victim was an eighth degree black belt, which seems scary fitting he be murdered by a nunchucks statue. This interaction causes Ella (Aimee Garcia) to question Lucifer as to why he liked Cabot (Sean Millington) so much, still under the impression that Lucifer himself is a method actor. As Ella and Lucifer talk, he sees Uriel walk by the window and leaves to find him.

When Lucifer finds Uriel he is on the roof of a building and Lucifer simply welcomes him to Earth. He then proceeds to ask why he’s there. Uriel tells him that he is collecting on the deal that Lucifer made with their father and that if Lucifer returns Charlotte then he would leave Chloe alone. Unfortunately, Lucifer only has 24 hours to bring their mother. At this point Lucifer is finding himself stuck and is ultimately screwed. Once he finishes his conversation with Uriel he goes to find Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) for help. Both Maze and Amenadiel tell Lucifer that Uriel will not stop until he has Charlotte, but Lucifer has another idea.

Lucifer returns to the police station and tells Chloe that she has no reason to be concerned anymore because he handled the situation with his father. He also says she will still need to stay cautious to which Chloe response with, “That’s a shame because I was going to have sex with you.” And Lucifer, being who he is, falls for it! Dan (Kevin Alejandro) walks up and is saddened with the news that Wesley Cabot was dead (shocking Lucifer that they have something in common) and tells them that the kid who saw the car leaving remembered the license plate and that the car belonged to Jamie (Charisma Carpenter). She is Wesley’s ex-wife who is now married to Kimo, a man who also starred in the movie series with him. She tells Chloe and Lucifer she was there because Wesley sent her a message and that when she saw his body she ran.

Amenadiel goes to Charlotte and tells her that God won’t stop until she is back in Hell. He says that their father will send others to collect her. Charlotte tells Amenadiel that no matter the time she has she will spend it with her “brave boys” and that is all she needs right now. Meanwhile, Chloe and Lucifer stake out Kimo and find him about to jump a random guy outside a bar. They arrest him and Lucifer is beyond excited to interrogate The Weaponizer. They find out Kimo (Mark Dacascos) is now working with the mob to pay the bills. When Lucifer asks Kimo what he really wants his answer is to make his wife happy and not have her find out he’s struggling. Lucifer turns away with shame. He said that the rivalry with Wesley was staged, but when they find out his prints are on the statue Chloe has no choice but to arrest him. That is until Lucifer posts his bail money behind Chloe’s back.

Amenadiel goes to the station to look for Lucifer and tells him that they should hide Chloe and Charlotte until Uriel returns home. Lucifer reminds Amenadiel that Uriel was once afraid of him and Lucifer thinks the sight of Amenadiel will scare Uriel. Amenadiel goes to the roof to meet with Uriel, telling him to go home because he has everything under control. But Uriel riles Amenadiel up by saying he’s in over his head, which causes Amenadiel to go off and criticize Uriel and everything he has done. At this, the two brothers fight and once Uriel hits Amenadiel he can tell something is wrong with his brother which causes him to spread his wings and punch out Amenadiel.

Meanwhile, Dan shows up and shows Chloe, Lucifer and Ella a contract showing that both Wesley and Kimo shared an agent. This information shows that their agent may have set Kimo up for Wesley’s murder. Chloe leaves but Lucifer says he has family matters to handle. As they leave Ella yells, “Get a room already,” and asks Dan if it was too soon. As they talk, Dan realizes that both Wesley and Kimo received the same award and that’s why Kimo’s finger prints were on it.

When Lucifer arrives back home he pours himself a drink ready to hear about how Amenadiel got Uriel to leave only to find a furious Maze and a beaten up brother. When Amenadiel tells Lucifer he has no power, Lucifer asks how that could be and his brother’s answers “pick any sin.” Lucifer becomes angered by the fact Amenadiel didn’t get Uriel to leave only to realize that Chloe was once again in danger. Leaving Amenadiel, he is angered when Lucifer says that he has to go clean up his mess. Maze goes to Charlotte’s house and finds her with her “son” wrapped up in chains and growling at her. When Maze gets the kid to stop, she tells Charlotte that they need to talk.

Chloe shows up and confronts Jamie and Kimo’s agent and as she’s putting all the pieces together Jamie shocks her and says that it was Kimo’s agent’s idea. Kimo walks up holding a gun and aims it at his wife and agent as Chloe puts herself in front of it. Chloe tells Kimo that she knows how he feels, how she’s scared after her accident and all she wants to do is go home and read a story to her daughter. Finally, Kimo lowers the gun and his wife and agent are arrested.

When Charlotte tells Lucifer she’s going to go back to hell to make everything easier on everyone, he tells her no one knows what his father wants and that he’s getting tired of it. Charlotte praises her son and says if anyone can find a way to handle Uriel it’s him. When Lucifer goes to the church to pray, Uriel shows up with a plan to slowly kill both Chloe and their mother. Lucifer tells his brother no one knows what their father wants and Uriel points out what their father needs is Charlotte. Uriel takes out Azrael’s (the Angel of Death) blade that could easily kill Chloe and Charlotte and starts his attack on Lucifer. One to never miss a fight, Maze shows up just as Uriel knocks Lucifer out. Stating he’d have no problem using the blade on a demon, he’s also able to knock her out. Uriel drops the blade and goes to set his plan in motion.

Lucifer comes to and with the blade of Azrael in his hand he stabs Uriel, but once he realizes what he’s done he is distraught. When he returns home, Charlotte is there waiting. She asks where his brother is and he simply (in the most haunting way) says, “What have I done?” As tears flow down his face, Charlotte takes hold of her son’s face, rushes to him and draws him into a hug.

Standout Moments:

*Ella-isms on point.

*Dan and Lucifer’s fanboy moments were amazing.

*Lucifer misunderstanding what Ella was talking about and thought she meant sex was comical.

*Lauren German’s acting in this episode was stellar.

*Tricia Helfer and Tom Ellis deserve an award for the final scene of the episode, it was heartbreaking.
