Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would describe my sound as a mix of Pop, R&B, and Dance.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) If you could mesh P!nk and Bruno Mars together that’s definitely how I would describe my musical style. Both have been huge influences for me.

Q) Your new single “Keep You Waiting” is out now. Tell us the story behind it.

A) “Keep You Waiting” was the first song I’ve ever written outside of the US in London. My life is changing and in pursuit of my dreams I’m never home. I have an amazing boyfriend who supports me so much, but as we all have at some point, I worried that if I kept him waiting, would he stay? And for the record, he has!

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) I don’t need music before I create lyrics. I take inspiration from all around me and am intentional about writing from an authentic place. Songwriting is moody for me, so depending on the day and how I feel is what I write about. I normally start with the big concept, maybe a couple verses, write the music, then melody and then finalize lyrics.

Q) What has the response been to “Keep You Waiting” from your fans?

A) The response has been amazing! It has been the second song of mine to surpass 100,000 streams on Spotify and is a crowd favorite live!

Q) This is your first single after your hit song “Tattoo.” What made it the perfect follow up?

A) I think “Keep You Waiting” just kept the momentum and energy up with a fun dance track and a great segway into the EP I’m releasing soon!

Q) After a year “Tattoo” got discovered and shot up the charts on the DRT (Digital Radio Tracker) Independent chart where you landed the #23 position and Top 100 with the DRT Global Chart. What has it meant to you to get more recognition for your music?

A) It is truly such an honor. I’m so speechless, this kind of recognition makes it much easier to keep going!

Q) This single was also released with a music video which has garnered a slot on the MTV LIVE! Chart with 8 weeks and in early rotation. How involved were you in the concept behind?

A) Very involved. I have the dream team consisting of my Creative Director Keegan Thomas (“Kreature Things”) and my stylist/Mom who help make my music come to life in the most special way.

Q) “Tattoo” was remixed and has peaked on the UK Dance Chart in the TOP 5 position. What do you hope people take away from it?

A) That music can be sophisticated and fun. There’s a big trend with sad conceptual music which is amazing, but I think it’s nice to have music that just makes life fun!

Q) Which song(s) holds a special significance for you and what makes it so close to your heart?

A) Whew, what a loaded question! My song “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” encapsulates my heart. My song “Nice Guy Syndrome” was particularly special because it’s the song that started my personal journey into music production. And “March” – that message is so truly important to me and to share with the world.

Q) What do you hope lingers with audiences – either an emotion or message – when they listen to your music?

A) I’ve always been about being a positive light. I hope by listening to my music you feel seen and heard and that you’re not alone. Relief and joy, a cathartic experience.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Bruno Mars for sure! I’ve always admired his artistry and voice. That would make my life!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) THANK YOU! I don’t take it lightly or for granted. I’m truly moved by the love and support and can’t wait to keep sharing my heart and journey with all of you.
