Q) Please tell us where we pick up with Mary J. Blige´s Family Affair and with your character Sasha.

A) You witness Sasha’s growth as both a mother and a sister, and we also get to see her embrace a new blossoming relationship.

Q) What continues to challenge you about your portrayal?

A)) I think Sasha is complex. Depending on her company, she either wears her heart on her sleeve or shields herself behind her vibrant personality.

Q) Going into this new installment, were you looking forward to sharing scenes with someone(s) in particular?

A) I anticipated scenes with Kendra (Ajiona Alexus) because their sisterly bond is deeply rooted. You can truly sense their love for each other, and there’s always a beautiful discovery in every scene.

Q) Talk about working with director Troy Scott.

A) Working with Troy Scott was an incredible experience. He is an amazing director who creates an environment where everyone feels welcomed, fostering creativity and allowing it to flow effortlessly.

Q) What were some of your favorite scenes to film or ones you are most proud of the work you put into?

A) My favorite scene is from “Real Love” in the park with Kendra. In this moment, Sasha reassures Kendra that she can be open and vulnerable, encouraging her to pursue her dreams without doubt.

Q) How did you shake off a long day of shooting with such intense storylines?

A) I usually unwind with music and a nice bath. I also enjoy lighting some diffusers and journaling.

Q) What do you think it is about the Mary J. Blige series of films that makes them so powerful and must see?

A) It addresses everyday adversities, joys and fears, allowing people to feel seen through each character. The diverse experiences contribute to a vibrant storyline that resonates with everyone.

Q) You’ve been a part of a number of incredible projects. Which still hold a special significance for you and what makes them so stand out to you?

A) I love everything I’ve done so far, but I have to say that playing Cami on “Siren” was definitely a highlight. She was both delicate and fierce—and a mermaid, too! [laughs]

Q) What are the recent projects that you have been busy working on?

A) I just wrapped on “Wild Cards” and I can’t wait for everyone to tune in, along with “School Spirits!”

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of the work you do?

A) I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who enjoys the work I create and follows me on my journey. I hope it inspires others always to pursue what they love, no matter the obstacles.
