Mom – Big Sauce and Coconut Water

The episode opens with Bonnie (Allison Janney) visiting Tammy (Kristen Johnston) in prison. Tammy has big news—she is bring released from jail! She says Bonnie inspired her to have hope and do better.
The plan is for Tammy to go to a halfway house, but Bonnie invites her to stay with her and Christy instead. Tammy is thrilled and wishes they can hug it out, so Bonnie presses into the glass—until Tammy tells her that lots of other stuff has been on there before.
Christy (Anna Faris), Jill (Jaime Pressly), Majorie (Mimi Kennedy) and Wendy (Beth Hall) are at the diner. Christy talks about how busy she is while Marjorie tells her that any problem is an opportunity for growth. Christy gets snarky because she is hungry and tired.
Bonnie comes in saying she smells like jail. Wendy and Jill said they blamed the smell on each other. Bonnie fills them in on the visit and drops the bombshell that Tammy will be living with them. Christy tells Bonnie that Tam is her responsibility.
At the house Adam William Fichtner) wants to know about Tammy. As Christy tells him that she is like Bonnie, but freshly released the other two ladies arrive. Tammy is happy to touch a man when Adam shakes her hand. Bonnie tells her to make herself at home while Tammy gets overly enthusiastic and hugs her. She goes to the fridge, running as she calls Gus the dog her friend. Adam says he likes Tammy, who is entranced by coconut water.
At the next AA meeting Tammy talks about how she needs to get a job, how she got sober and how life is different. She is shocked that cotton candy vodka was a thing while she was in prison. She is also happy about the cookies Marjorie made.
The next morning Bonnie is tired because Tammy kept her up. She goes downstairs to make coffee and sees Tammy in the kitchen. She is so enthusiastic about her new life and making coffee.
As Christy leaves for school she sees Tammy’s parole officer (Dan Martin) at the door for a surprise inspection. She texts Bonnie to warn her, leading to her grabbing Adam’s bong and throwing it out the window.
That night Bonnie plans to go to Adam’s, but Christy won’t let her. Taking care of Tammy is driving the both of them nuts. As Bonnie plans to leave, Tammy has a night terror and wants her to read Goodnight Moon again.
The next day the ladies go shopping. Tammy gets overwhelmed and has a panic attack. She grabs a shirt to calm her down and asks for it in her size because it is so soft.
At the diner Tammy fills them in on her day. She and Marjorie trade stories about prison life. Tammy excuses herself and Bonnie finally admits she is overwhelmed with Tammy and wants to ask her to leave. She just needs a way to do it without hurting her.
Later that day Bonnie is working on fixing a washing machine when Tammy walks in. She wants to ask her to leave, but Tammy ends up helping her with repairs.
Christy asks how it went. Bonnie says that she wants to give Tammy more of a chance. It turns out Bonnie made Tammy into her assistant.
The episode ends with the women helping Tammy with another night terror.
