The episode opens with the ladies at the diner. Christy (Anna Faris) is talking about missing class due to illness and not being able to get a study partner. She has her choice between bow tie guy and feather pen girl. Jill (Jaime Pressly) goes into some rating system that has bow tie guys as the smartest but the worst in bed. Marjorie (Mimi Kennedy) says it is true because of her late husband Victor. She then wonders if it is weird that she mentioned her late husband and her sex life.

Jill announces her is cleaning her closet and wants some help. Bonnie (Allison Janney) says she will help but backs out when Jill says no bags or jewelry. Tammy (Kristen Johnston) wants to know what size shoe she wears and Jill tells her the size she wore at age eight. Tammy thinks Jill used to wear a men’s size ten.

Christy and Wendy (Beth Hall) agree to help. The ladies get ready to leave, but Marjorie is enjoying the company. Bonnie starts to ask if she wants to go home to her husband, but catches herself and says horde of cats. She then makes plans to hang out with her the next day.

At the house the next day, Tammy is on the couch eating when Christy comes down snarking that someone is up at noon. She goes to get coffee in the kitchen. Bonnie is in there complaining about Adam. Tammy is whining in the living room, causing Christy to ask when she is leaving. Bonnie isn’t sure and Tammy asks for more Froot Loops. Christy brings them to her and feels guilty when Tammy says she is grateful for them taking her in.

Marjorie arrives armed with a puzzle for the ladies to do while Wendy and Christy clean Jill’s closet. Jill, Christy and Wendy go into the closet, which is a mess. They come up with a cleaning plan and get to work. Wendy wants to know what happens if Christy wants something she does and Christy says not to test her.

At the house, the ladies are working on the puzzle. After a debate on how to begin, Marjorie and Tammy trade prison war stories and how they got in. Tammy robbed an Outback Steakhouse while high and Marjorie robbed a bank for a political organization and Steppenwolf tickets.

In the closet the ladies try on clothes, some of which Jill decides to keep. As they keep digging, Jill realizes a lot of the clothes carry bad memories, such as her divorce and miscarriage. She breaks down and says she feels like a failure. Christy tries to make her feel better by saying she has a fridge and chandelier in her closet, but Jill says she still feels like a failure. She also admits she shops as a distraction and feels inferior to the other ladies. Christy tells her to shut down the self pity party. Jill pats her head and says she is cute.

At the house, the ladies have formed a Puzzle Club and are debating over how to do the puzzle. Bonnie, of course, is getting carried away. Marjorie tells Tammy she met Victor when the Plunketts got evicted and how she thinks she won’t meet a love like that again.

Back in the closet Jill wants to take the ladies out, but they have to work. Jill admits she never had a job and isn’t sure how she would get one with no skills other than shopping and her other hobbies.

Meanwhile, Marjorie and Tammy continue to hit it off. Bonnie suggests they become roommates. Tammy is thrilled because she gets to have cats and a puzzle club.

Jill, Wendy and Christy drop off some of the clothes at a shelter. The woman in charge (Cleo King) is thrilled because the women there really need the clothes. She then offers Jill a volunteer position helping her out.

The episode ends with the Puzzle Club finishing the puzzle. Christy comes home to help, but isn’t allowed to because she is not in the club. Marjorie has the final piece, which she hid because she knew the women would try and finish it while she was in the bathroom.
