Most of the girls are having their usual lunch at the bistro. Their waitress Beatrice (Lauri Johnson) impatiently waits for them to finish ordering in the very specific way they do, always changing the way the dishes are served. When she leaves Tammy (Kristen Johnston) excitedly tells everyone that Wayne (Peter Onorati), a friend that Marjorie (Mimi Kennedy) made at a sober jamboree in Canada, has decided to visit her over the weekend. Marjorie blushes and tells everyone nervously that nothing has happened between them, but she looks excited for his visit. Bonnie (Allison Janney) says that in case her friend gets married, she wants to be the Maid of Honor. Tammy says that Marjorie and Wayne have Skyped twice already and she has worn lipstick both of the times. Marjorie also tells them how he has even sent pics of his dogs and Christy (Anna Faris) says that it seems like a romantic comedy waiting to happen. The women keep questioning Marjorie about her date until Jill (Jaime Pressly) rushes in yelling her food order at Beatrice while making her way to the table. She says that she is in a middle of a crisis since she is hosting a charity event soon and just found out that most of her silverware has gone missing. Wendy (Beth Hall) says that maybe she has misplaced them, but Jill is very sure that one of her housekeepers stole it from her. Since she doesn’t know who did it she will fire them both but not until after the event since she needs their assistance with it. When she’s asked who else have had access and the opportunity to do it, Bonnie suddenly is hit by a flashback of herself stealing said silverware. She vocalizes her surprise before such realization making everyone look at her, but she lies and tells them that she just pictured Marjorie and Wayne making out.

Christy is at the living room studying. Bonnie awkwardly approaches her and tries to initiate a conversation. Christy explains about the case she is reading and suddenly Bonnie blurts out that she was the person that stole Jill’s silverware. The blonde is surprised at her mother’s confession and Bonnie says that she did it because back then they were practically homeless and she didn’t know they were going to like Jill as much as they do now. Christy wants to know why she didn’t tell her sooner, but Bonnie says that she did what she always does whenever she is ashamed of something: she buries things down until she forgets. Christy encourages her to tell Jill the truth and Bonnie comes up with the idea of writing her a letter that it could only be opened after she dies. Adam (William Fichtner) arrives from work and is surprised to see them awake so he asks what happened. Bonnie says that she had just remembered she stole a bunch of silverware from Jill, so he pretends not to care and wishes them goodnight instead.

The next day Bonnie visits Jill who is in the middle of a call discussing about flower arrangements for her upcoming event and looking visibly irritated. After she hangs up Bonnie tries to soften up the situation by praising all of her efforts and then spills out that she had stolen her silverware. Jill pauses and asks her to repeat what she just said. Bonnie makes sure to say it all again, leaving out the part that she had stolen from her, but her friend had listened to it clearly the first time. She is disappointed to find out about it and confesses that the silverware has been in her family for 150 years. It was all she had that kept her connected with her ancestors. Bonnie apologizes and tells her that she didn’t know it was that important to her and Jill says that maybe she should have asked her before stealing it. In fact, she would direct her to something with a less emotional meaning to her. Bonnie tries once again to convince her to forgive her, but Jill asks her to leave instead.

Christy has gone shopping with Marjorie. While trying on new outfits for her date with Wayne she confesses that she doesn’t know why she is so excited about his visit since they don’t seem to have so many things in common. Christy is looking around the place when is suddenly approached by a clerk named Arlene (Miriam Flynn) who asks her if she wants her to set up a dressing room for her, but she declines. Then, in an attempt to convince her, Arlene takes a sweater nearby and asks her to feel it making Christy interested in it immediately. Marjorie comes out of the dressing room and Christy admires her look. She wonders if it is appropriate to take off her ring before going on her date and Christy tells her that she should only do it if she is ready. Marjorie says that the fact she has started to questioning herself about it is an indication that she is ready to do it. She takes it off and addresses some beautiful words to her belated husband, thanking him for the time they had shared and saying that she will always love him.

The women gather again at the bistro. Wendy looks surprised by Christy’s new look since she is wearing the outfit she has bought while shopping with Marjorie. Bonnie makes fun of it and the blonde asks them to touch it saying that she feels like she is wearing a kitten. Jill joins the group and is immediately greeted by Bonnie. She says hello to everyone and when it’s her turn to greet Bonnie she asks her where Clyde is. Bonnie takes that as a good sign since she is making fun of the situation, but Jill assures her that she is far from forgiving her. Everyone mentions something they have forgiven Bonnie for trying to fix the situation, but Jill is not up for it. She decides to go to the bathroom instead. When she is half way there she suddenly stops and comes back to take her purse with her, just in case.

Bonnie arrives at her house and finds Adam watching a game. She throws a tantrum making Adam deviate his attention from the TV and ask her to tell her what happened. She tells him that she had apologized countless times to Jill but she still treats her as a criminal and Adam tells her that the fact that she is ready to be forgiven does not mean that her friend is ready to forgive her. Maybe she needs to give her some time. Bonnie gets annoyed by his words and says that is very likely for her to have a better advice from a clock. So, she decides to fix it herself and makes a dramatic exit. A few seconds later, she returns saying that she actually has no idea where to go and just wanted to add a dramatic effect to the situation.

Date night has finally arrived and Marjorie is excited. She and Wayne discuss about the conference they had just attended and how much fun they had until they are interrupted by Jacob (Abhi Trivedi), the waiter who gives Marjorie a menu. However, Wayne is quick to tell him that they will just have coffee. Marjorie is disconcerted and Wayne explains that he has dinner plans for later, something that makes her feel disappointed but she tries fast to conceal it.

The next day Christy sees Marjorie arrive to the meeting and asks her about her date. The woman explains that, unfortunately, Wayne only wanted to be her friend and grab coffee with her. Christy tries to cheer her up saying that even if it didn’t work with him the fact that she has gotten all excited about it means that she is ready to go back out there and find someone. Tammy, Wendy and Jill join them and the last one seems to be pretty caught up by something happening on her phone. She explains that thanks to Bonnie she is now obsessed over what people might be stealing from her house so she is checking on her house security cameras. Right that moment Wayne walks in and Marjorie remembers that she told him about the meeting, but she didn’t think he would show up. She approaches to him and he tells her that he has saved a seat for her next to him, but she explains she always sits next to her girls and introduces them to him. When the meeting is over Marjorie goes back to Wayne and wishes him safe travels, but he tells her he was hoping to go out with her later. She says she just had enough coffee making Wayne apologize and tell her that he had intended to have dinner with her the night before but he got cold feet. He confesses that his wife died just a year and a half ago and he hadn’t been on a date for forty years. Therefore, he does not know how to do it anymore.  Marjorie shows her sympathy for him and says that he should have spoken with her about it. They agree to give it another chance and go on an official date.

Bonnie walks in the room and goes straight to where Jill is seated trying to talk to her. Jill immediately stands up saying that she is about to leave and make sure her bartender doesn’t steal her jewelry. Bonnie asks her for a moment and tells her that she went to San Francisco and managed to find some pieces of silverware that are very similar to the ones she stole from her. Bonnie wants her to accept the gift as her deepest apology, but instead Jill gives the box to someone else.

Later that day, Jill is at her house making sure that everything go as planned for the event when a woman named Melanie (Gillian Vigman) walks in her kitchen and tells her that even though she had her doubts about her she has done an amazing job hosting the event. She states that she realized that she should stop judging her for who she used to be, making Jill very happy by her words. Sometime later Bonnie wakes up and goes to her kitchen when somebody knocks at her door. She opens it and sees Jill standing there still in her gala gown asking her to forgive her. She says that she doesn’t like to be judge for who she was and she has just been doing the same to her. Bonnie tells her that she knows she had broken her trust and it might take some time to get it back, but she will. Jill says that it may take less than she think, and they hug each other. Bonnie and Adam are kissing each other in their room and suddenly Bonnie stops and tells him that she had just recalled that she stole $20 dollars from him the first time they slept together but he doesn’t seem to care at all.
