When Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) is having trouble getting her daughter Cadence to eat, Avery’s (Jonathan Jackson) suggestion of doing the airplane maneuver, makes her feel useless. She decides to let him take over. He apologizes for making her feel bad. He reminds her that he is going to be supporting her through her recovery, but she does not see him sticking around forever. She asks him to find the woman who helped her, but she refuses to go outside in her current state. When he tries to remind her that she should be lucky she is alive, she gets annoyed and decides to find the woman herself.

Juliette meets with Pastor Lewis (James Moses Black) who is the pastor of the church of the woman who saved her. She describes the woman who saved her and the pastor identifies as a shy person who did not want to deal with the media. Juliette gives the pastor her phone number so the woman, Hanna Lee who goes by Hallie (Rhiannon Giddens), can reach out to her if she wants to. Juliette wants him to tell her that Hallie saved her life and she wants to thank her.

It’s Will’s (Chris Carmack) birthday and he is celebrating with his boyfriend Kevin (Kyle Dean Massey) in a nice restaurant. Famous menswear designer Jakob Fine (Murray Bartlett) comes to their table and invites Will to his trunk show. Jakob even blows out the candle on Will’s slice of cake. After he leaves, Kevin says he knows Jakob was flirting with Will, but Will assures him that he has nothing to worry about. Will performs at Tequila Cowboy and the crowd is excited. After this show, Kevin asks Will if he wants to go to Jakob’s trunk show. Will is not interested, but Kevin encourages him to go.

Will arrives at Jakob’s trunk show. It is everything that Kevin described. Fancy house. Check. Offered champagne immediately. Check. Jakob is excited to see him. As he chooses some suits for Will, Jakob tries to kiss Will, but is turned down. Will says he that he is in a relationship. Jakob is not concerned and is confident that Will is attracted to him. He offers to be mum about anything that happens between them. Will continues to refuse. Jakob accepts that, but says that the offer is open if he changes his mind.

Will talks to Gunnar (Sam Palladio) about what happened with Jakob. Will admits to Gunnar that he was interested in Jakob, but he feels bad about it. Gunnar tells him not to worry about it. Nothing happened so nothing to worry about it. Will wonders if he should tell Kevin about what happened. Gunnar tells him that telling Kevin will screw up their relationship. Kevin tries on the suit that Will got from the trunk show. Kevin asks Will if Jakob made a move on him. Will denies that anything inappropriate happened. Will suggests for them to look for a place together.

In bed, Scarlett (Clare Bowen) hears Gunnar’s phone ping. She asks him if Autumn (Alicia Witt) is still trying to talk to him. Gunnar says he does not know. Scarlett checks herself and it is Autumn. Upset, Scarlett says that it is okay for Gunnar to go back on Autumn’s tour. Gunnar reminds her that he agreed to ignore Autumn’s calls and texts until she got the message. Scarlett has doubts about the status of their relationship, but Gunnar lets her know that they are a couple now.

The next day, Rayna (Connie Britton) has a meeting with The Exes. She tells them that being on the road was an incredible experience for her and she had a lot of time to listen to their album. Rayna proposes releasing another single on their album. When Scarlett hears that the choice will be All of Me, she is immediately uncomfortable, but she pretends to be okay with the pick. Later, Scarlett is replaying All of Me so she can try to get over her hurt feelings but she realizes that she is not over the pain of it.

Scarlett meets Deacon to chat and she is frustrated about the jealously she is experiencing. Deacon tells her not to be so hard on herself. Fighting is a natural thing and it is obviously she is still feeling the pain of their past. Scarlett is worried that she is punishing him and she does not want to do that. Deacon assures her that Gunnar will understand and stay by her side.

As Deacon (Charles Esten) is playing, Scarlett walks in. He asks her how things are going with Gunnar and she admits that she is having problems with getting over the past hurt of her relationship with Gunnar. She is anxiously waiting for something to go wrong again. He tells her about Rayna’s album and he believes she should get a more popular artist instead of him. Scarlett says he is being a fool for having doubts about the project. He says that reliving the painful moments of his relationship is too painful and he is reluctant of diving in again. He does admit that he is still mulling over it.

Avery comes over to pick up stuff from his place with Scarlett and Gunnar to take to Juliette. He gives them an update on how she is doing. They offer to help him in any way they can. After he leaves, Scarlett asks Gunnar who is the girl that inspires All of Me. Gunnar says the song is not about anybody. She does not believe him and thinks that the song is too specific not to be about anybody. In response to that, Gunnar admits that song is about his feelings for her, being with the wrong person at the wrong time, starting over with Scarlett or living life without Scarlett. Frustrated, he walks away from the conversation.

Gunnar is surprised to see that Scarlett is still awake and asks her why. She tells that she does not want to sing the song. Gunnar cannot understand why Scarlett is against the song. It is on their album. They sang it when they went on tour so why is it a problem now? Scarlett says that it has been bothering her and she starts spilling out all her pain to Gunnar. She points out that since she turned down his proposal, he has made it his mission to be involved with people that she could not avoid. Her best friend Zoey. Sound engineer on their tour Erin. Autumn. For Scarlett, singing that song brings up a lot of painful memories and it makes her angry at Gunnar.

While Gunnar is prepping for their radio performance, Scarlett walks in and kisses him. She tells him that she is getting over the hurt. As they play their song, Gunnar changes the lyrics to fit Scarlett and the performance goes on without a hitch.

When Rayna arrives home from her Silicon Valley performance, Deacon greets her. The girls are out of the house so the couple can have some alone time. Rayna tells Deacon about her trip and has an idea about a new album. She wants Deacon to make an album with her about their love story. Deacon is speechless but it leads to the couple making out. Rayna ends up following asleep and the couple laugh at her faux pas,, but Deacon makes her promise that they will resume their loving in the morning.

Bucky (David Alford) has some doubts about Rayna’s idea of doing a conceptual album with Deacon. Rayna lays out her case and Bucky ends up relenting and okays the move. Zach Welles (Cameron Scoggins) calls Rayna and tells her that he would love to meet with her when he comes to Nashville in two weeks and Rayna agrees to the meeting.

When Rayna arrives home, she complains to Deacon about all the frustrations at work. Deacon has some doubts about the album and Rayna tells him not to let fear prevent them from doing the album. Deacon scoffs at her words and says he does not want to do it and Rayna ask why. He tells her the past year has been of the worst of his life excluding their wedding and it is painful to revisit those feelings. Rayna asks him to spend some time thinking about before he rejects it completely.

Later that night, Deacon is reading and Rayna wants to know if he has made a decision on the album. He tells her that he is still thinking about it. Rayna wants him to talk about his feelings but he wants to continue to stew about it. The two go back in forth about the talking versus thinking about it and it ends with Deacon tickling and kissing Rayna.

Deacon shows up at Highway 65 to surprise Rayna. He has a gig. Rayna is upset he would agree to play on this girl’s album without consulting her and before he made up his mind about their concept album.

Later, Deacon is playing and Rayna joins him. He says that he is trying to come up with a song for their album. When Rayna asks him if he is on board, he throws back at her that she makes all the rules so he is going along with what she wants. Rayna is offended by his words and says that he agreed to think about it before rejecting the album. Deacon apologizes after he says he has to always do what Rayna wants or live with the idea that he disappointed her again. Deacon feels like he is not an equal partner to Rayna. He lives in her house. She is the one who has her own label. He feels a bit emasculated. It is not easy at times for him to deal with her making all the decisions. She empathizes with him and acknowledges the mistakes they both made. The past is the past, but they can make decisions together for their future. Deacon repeats that in the end that Rayna will get her way and Rayna is frustrated that he keeps bringing it up. He points out that she wanted to talk and now that he is talking, she does not want to listen. She walks out.

Rayna arrives home and sees some flowers with a card that says, “To the only woman I have ever loved.” As Deacon is working on something, Rayna comes in and wants to talk. She apologized for making him feel pressured to do the album with her. After she finished talking, he starts playing a song. When she asks him why she changed his mind about the album, he admits the pain is valuable despite the hurt. He’s in. She thanks him for the flowers. As she walks out the door, he says that he did not send her any flowers. As Rayna is walking, there is a hint that she has a stalker. Who could it be?
