Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I am a music junkie. I like all rhythms. I write all my lyrics. Old school hip hop is a big influence for me.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I listen to a lot of music from all genres and all kinds of artists.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Loco Loquito.”

A) I wanted to tell the story through a conversation between two extremely nervous people who end up being perfect for each other. This is the song that took me the longest to write, almost a month to write the lyrics because of the play with the crutch (eh Eh) and to make it all flow as a conversation.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) They identify with having those first-time nerves that come at the start of a new relationship.

Q) How does the lyric video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) For the video I partnered with Polidélico to create an animated story. They created a story that has different meanings and will leave you with the uncertainty if everything is real or a dream.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) It depends. Usually I will start writing the lyrics, other times I will hear an inspiring beat that will make me want to start rapping.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I am very hands on and involved in all the process.

Q) What are some themes you explore on your new upcoming album? When will it be released?

A) I am exploring the end of the world both natural and man-made disasters are the running theme throughout the album. Even though it sounds a little like doomsday, I am bringing a strong message of hope. We don’t have a release date yet.

Q) What songs of the album hold a special place in your heart and why?

A) They are all special, it’s like choosing who is your favorite kid. They are each a part of me.

Q) What do you hope listeners take away from listening to this album as a whole?

A) I want them to walk away with hope.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I can’t wait to get back on stage to perform and have a massive concert in Puerto Rico.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) There are a lot of artists I would like to collaborate with like Ana Tijoux, Lapiz Conciente, Rosalía and so many others. I like to collaborate with other artists, you never know what will come out.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Especially now that we are in quarantine, I feel this is my way to stay connected to my fans. There is no filter on my social media, they get to see me just as I am.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you for all your support. I cannot do this without you. Stay strong during these times. I can’t wait to be back on the road and see you all.
