Q) Ingrid has had a past where she has been unlucky in love. What will change this season or is she in for more heartbreak?

A) Bless her heart! Yes, Ingrid has been through a lot of heartbreak, but it has made her so much stronger. She’s developed an inner strength through the storm. For now, she is finding love in many other areas of her life. She has a big heart so when the time comes, she will be ready. And the next few episodes take us on quite a ride. There is romance, heartbreak and a very sexy dangerous madragora. Life is exciting when you’re a witch!

Q) Killian and Dash will discover their magical powers. How will the Beauchamp ladies help them or keep them from harnessing their potential?

A) Ingrid immediately wants to help Dash understand who he is and what he can do with his powers. She has a lot of compassion for him because she knows what he is going through. They are both very powerful.

Q) Ingrid lands a new job this season and gains a lot of strength and independence. How will discovering that she is the key to Asgard effect her relationship and close ties to her family? Will finding out the significance consume her?

A) As Ingrid discovers more about the history of her family, she understands how important her role as the key really is. She developed so much strength last year so it is exciting to see her take charge and use her powers to help the people in her life. Obviously, there are so many obstacles along the way, but the fear is gone. She is courageously living as a witch now.

Q) This season has a more gothic and dark feel to it. How does the dark look of the show play it’s own part as almost a character in itself?

A) The world of magic is now out in the open. So, we can take it to much deeper levels. It sets the tone for the darker stories we are exploring.

Q) What is it about the Lifetime Network that has made “Witches of East End” such a great fit?

A) Lifetime’s audience is diverse and continuing to expand. Being a part of a genre show filled with mystery, romance and magic brings new energy. And the messages are universal and reach people all over the world. So, it is wonderful to be a part of Lifetime in the UK and Latin America and now we are airing in France, China and Germany. Many more countries to come!

Q) What is it about being a part of social media and interacting with fans during the episodes that makes it so special?

A) I joined social media just before we started filming the series and it is inspiring to connect with people from all over the world. When we live tweet, we relive each episode with an audience so it’s a unique way to experience the story. It’s like a book club, but a TV show club and we are all connected by a love of magic on our magical little Internet application we call Twitter.

Q) Who can you share as special guest stars we will see this season? We have some new characters in East End.

A) Well, you have met the madragora played by the fabulous Anthony Konechny. He’s certainly very special. You meet mom’s ex-girlfriend (Michelle Hurd) and James Marsters has quite a journey this year. Sara Lancaster will add a very interesting twist. Bianca Lawson is still breaking Frillian hearts as Eva. And, of course, our brother is played by Christian Cooke. As Jenna [Dewan-Tatum] and I like to say, “Brother’s hot!” We have a wonderful cast.

Q) What has been some of the most difficult scenes that you have had to film and why?

A) In season one, the scene where Adam dies was heartbreaking to shoot. Losing true love and finding the strength to let go – It was a powerful episode and the energy was very respectful on set. I’ve mentioned this before, but I was reading a poem called “Good Timber” when we were filming it and loved this line, “Good time does not grow with ease. The stronger the wind the stronger the trees.” That is certainly true for Ingrid’s strength. We dive into vulnerable places of the human spirit and explore how to navigate our way through them. On a lighter note, I just had a scene the other day where I am supposed to magically open a door and the door did not want to magically open. That was really funny!

Q) As things continue to progress to more darkness, how will your character deal with what manifests?

A) Ingrid has a huge responsibility at the end of Season 2 and she has to stay strong. That’s what she is focused on, staying present to help the people in her life.

Q) Is there anything else that you would like to tease about this season?

A) The season finale is going to be epic, amazing, awesomeness. And very enchanting! There’s time travel, romance, adventure and stunts. We start filming it next week and I am excited for you to see it!
