Radio Romance – Sunday Fine
By: Robert Warren
Q) What inspired you to create “Sunday Fine,” a new hit single over living in the moment?
A) The feeling that you get waking up on Sunday after a wild weekend inspires this song. The feeling you get when you just want to relax and take it all in.
Q) What makes this song unique from the rest of your work?
A) This song is one of those mid tempo tunes that make you bob your head along. We don’t have many of those.
Q) Living in the moment is important, yes, but why in 2020 is this really important?
A) This year has been so challenging for everyone, so naturally it’s very important to appreciate the little things in life and be grateful for everything that we have been given.
Q) What has been the most challenging part of creating this single?
A) I think the most challenging part of creating this single was the recording process. We put a lot of man-hours into getting the sound just how we wanted.
Q) Simply put, why a single and not an album? (Can we expect one?)
A) We love doing singles, but yes, we are working towards an album. We are looking at releasing early 2021.
Q) What do you all feel when you sing this song?
A) When singing this song, it definitely takes us to that “Sunday Fine” feeling. It’s a raise your drink up high and enjoy it kind of feeling.
Q) In what ways have you seen this song change as it went throughout the creative process?
A) When we worked the song up from a demo it definitely took on a whole new life. Adding the rhythm section and the guitar solo just gave it a great feel.
Q) What are some of your favorite lyrics from your song?
A) “After Saturday night round here, yea we move a little slow.” I love that line because we’ve all been there. We’ve all stayed out a little too late and woke up the next day hurting a little bit and just relaxed.
Q) How has creating this song impacted you as an artist?
A) Writing this song definitely added a cool element to our live show. We didn’t have a tune with a groove like this one before.
Q) What led you to choose the artwork for this song?
A) We thought a photo shoot on a boat would be perfect for the laid-back nature of the tune! We did it on a Sunday too, so it helped out with the whole vibe.
Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?
A) I think for all of us it’s definitely Eric Church. He has had such a big influence on our music throughout our career.
Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of you and your music?
A) We always want our fans to know how much we appreciate them. I feel like everyone says it but we couldn’t do it without them. They are the reason that we make music!
