Sasha Pieterse – What A Girl Wants

Q) What are the current projects that you are working on?

A) Well ,  I just finished shooting a new series called ”Wanted,” where I play  the daughter of the lead cop, Gary Cole. A few weeks ago, I starred on an episode of the series “House,” where I play a cancer patient. It airs September 20th and I had an awesome experience! Last year, I was cast as the Ice Princess in Robert Rodriguez’s ‘The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl, which played in theaters June of this year. It is also coming out on DVD September 20th.

Q) You star on the new show “Wanted” as Millie Rose. Please tell us about the premise of the show and your character.

A) “Wanted” is about a task force brought together to hunt down the top 100 criminals in California. I play Millie Rose, the daughter of Connie, who heads the task force. I have an older brother, Tony. My mom and dad go through a divorce and I have to deal with this difficult situation.

Q) What was your audition like and how did you hear about it?

A) I heard about the audition through my management team. I went out for the audition in the morning and was called back to producers that same afternoon. They decided to hire me without even screen testing me! I was really happy about that.

Q) What is it like working with Gary Cole again after last seeming him on “Family Affair” at age 6?

A) It was great working with Gary again. He’s a wonderful man and friend. We still have the same relationship now as we had in “Family Affair,” only now I feel like it’s stronger. I hope to keep it going for a long, long time.

Q) What is your most memorable moment from filming “Wanted?”

A) My most memorable moment is probably the time when I was afraid to go to sleep and Gary and I had a special daddy/daughter moment. I also enjoyed playing games with my “brother,” Chris, in-between takes.

Q) Why should fans take time to check out the show?

A) I think “Wanted” is an amazing show, but it’s meant for adults to watch.

Q) Why did you want to be an actress?

A) When I was 4, my parents thought I had the personality for the business and so we tried it. I loved it from the start and it just took off from there. Now, I couldn’t think of anything else I’d rather do.

Q) Who would you most like to work with in the future?

A) I would love to work with Charlize Theron because I think she is the most incredible actress. Plus, she is from my home country, South Africa.

Q) What do you do in your spare time?

A) I am extremely busy with activities such as horse riding, trampoline and tumbling, rollerblading, dancing etc. I also love to sing and play the piano. I am home schooled which makes all these things possible.
