Interviews
Scoe – Tha Influence
Q) What is the feel for your upcoming album Tha Influence?
A) Gangsta. Lyrical. Musical. A breath of fresh air.
Q) How much hand did you have in the production of the album?
A) A zillion percent from a visionary standpoint. The actual producers deserve the credit though, without them I couldn’t realize the vision.
Q) What is your process for writing songs? Do you need music to write the lyrics?
A) Depending on how I feel, like with this album I would go into the studio at night and get fucked up. So fucked up that I would completely zone out and not remember anything the next day. Every song would have to be re-cut at a sober time. I was clear headed when I laid the vocals, but as far as the writing is concerned I just let the dope do the talking. [Laugh]
Q) Your first single is “She Don’t Love You.” What is it about the song that listeners will connect to?
A) Everything! The concept is strong, the beat is bangin’ and the lyrics are true. All you niggaz out here tongue kissing these hoes…”She don’t love you.” That’s what the bitch said, man. Get it together.
Q) How did you come to work with Kobe and K-Young on the track?
A) Them my homeboys. We all writers and we each have a good ear for sound and great taste in music.
Q) Who are some other artists that you share tracks with?
A) Xzibit, Too Short, Clyde Carson, Kurupt, E-Note and Yummy Bingham
Q) What are your favorite songs off Tha Influence?
A) My favorite songs off Tha Influence are “Break Yo Bed,” “Dey Ain’t Ready,” “Mr. Williams” and “Karma.”
Q) What can fans expect from a live Scoe performance?
A) A lot of energy. A solid show. A full Roscoe experience.
Q) How can fans help promote your music?
A) Buy my shit. Bump my shit. Follow me on all my social media and like my shit.
Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your music?
A) Thank you. I love you. And stay tuned!
