Sophie Michelle Says – Imperfectly Perfect

Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) I just released my first single “Imperfectly Perfect”and I’m so excited that all my Sophienatics loved it. I’m working on a few special musical collaborations coming soon. Can’t wait to share with you guys!!

Q) Congrats on your recent move to LA! How will this new location play a role in your future vlogs & videos?

A) I’m actually temporarily living in LA for pilot season and recording my music. I’m hoping to make the big move soon. I’m going to be making some really cool videos and vlogs with some really special guests stay tuned.

Q) Where do you find the inspiration for your YouTube videos?

A) This is such a great question and I get it all the time. YouTube is an amazing platform driven by trends, so I try to incorporate the latest trends as well as what my viewers want to see by doing constant polls and interacting with them in the comment section and the community tab as well. I make videos for my viewers, so it’s only fair that they get to decide what they want to see.

Q) What have been some of your favorite ones to share?

A) One of my favorite videos is probably the “What teens think while getting ready.” It was a very relatable video that I did recently.

Q) You’re an incredible singer. How would you describe your sound?

A) I love singing. It’s something I’d love to do for the rest of my life. I’d describe my sound as pop, uplifting with dance vibes.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Omgosh! There are some many talented artists that have impacted my music. I love Shawn Mendes, Khalid, Alicia Keys, Madonna, Bruno Mars, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato to name a few.

Q) What do you hope listeners take away from your single, “Imperfectly Perfect”?

A) One of my favorite things to do is to read my Sophienatics (fans) comments. I love to read that they feel happy and inspired by listening to the song. I hope the song would make them realize that they are special and unique in their own way, be positive and follow their dreams.

Q) Why is sharing the message of being “imperfectly perfect” so important to you?

A) Because the message of the song is based on my personal experience, something I felt for so long, back when I was still attending public school and being bullied for having a YouTube channel. I learned that you have to be strong, not listen to negativity and not letting people bring you down.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a track?

A) So hard to pick… I will probably Shawn Mendes or Khalid. They are both so awesome!

Q) Will there be a full EP or album coming in the near future?

A) I would love to do a full EP. Maybe soon, I only know that I have so many ideas to write original music and would love to share them with my Sophienatics.

Q) You’re also an actress. Who is your dream costar?

A) I also love acting. It’s something I fall in love with more and more every day. One of my favorite actresses are Millie Bobby Brown and Zendaya, they are incredibly talented and gorgeous!! It would be a dream come true to one day be on set with them.

Q) What would you like to say to all of your supporters and Sophienatics? 

A) I’d tell them that they are the light in my life, they inspire me so much. They surprise me with their talent, kindness and love every day. I’m a lucky girl to have them in my life. It truly makes me happy to hear them saying that my music inspires them to follow their dreams and become the best version of themselves.
