Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Alt/pop/rock

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) The music of today!

Q) What is your song writing process like? Do you need music before the lyrics arrive?

A) Sometimes the lyrics are written first, but generally we seem to write the music first and then approach melody/lyrics. It’s different every time!

Q) What is the message behind the song “Gotta Wake You Up?” 

A) It’s definitely up to your interpretation, but we think it’s sort of a metaphor for waking up the world with everything that’s happening in today’s world.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans have connected to?

A) Good question!

Q) How does the message of “Gotta Wake You Up” play into the video? 

A) The video is actually an interesting take on the song where our singer Mike is caught between reality and this sort of “dream world.” In the video, Mike is unsatisfied and confused with reality and finds his way to a fantasy world by jumping in to bed with his girl.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) In the past we have written all of our songs. “Gotta Wake You Up” was our first experience working with a writer that wasn’t an actual member of the band. We wanted two things from this process – a fresh song writing experience and also a foot in the door with industry writers. At the end of the day, it’s about writing great music that we all love.

Q) What can fans expect from a live Symmetry performance?

A) A lot of sweat. Also, making fun of our bassist for anything and everything.

Q) Will there be an album or an EP coming soon? 

A) New album this Winter!

Q) Is there anything else you want be sure fans know about your music? 

A) Be on the look out for pre orders!

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way to connect with your fans?

A) Obviously, social media gives us instant engagement with our fans,which is great because we love doing Periscope and other things like that.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter? 

A) We love you so much, we are here to stay!
