Interviews
Terrell Ransom Jr. – A Chance in the World
By: Lisa Steinberg
Q) What are the recent projects that you have been working on?
A) The movie A Chance in the World that I starred in hit over 800 theaters across the country on May 30th. So, I was super excited about seeing myself on the big screen. It will also be streaming around the world later this year. I can’t wait for the world to see. Also, I just filmed an episode of “NCIS.” It was the 15th season finale. So, if you haven’t seen it, you’ll want to, so catch it on demand.
Q) What made you want to be a part of the film A Chance in the World?
A) I auditioned for the role and booked it.
Q) How was your character Steve originally described to you?
A) I received the audition notice.
Q) Was there anything you added to the role that wasn’t originally described to you?
A) No, because it was based on Steve Pemberton’s real-life experience, so I knew it was important for me to act as closely to the character as possible.
Q) The film is based off a Steve Pemberton book. How close is director/writer Mark Vadik to the author’s initial concept?
A) He’s really close to the concept. Plus, Steve worked with Mark Vadik and is a producer on the project.
Q) Talk about working with legendary actors Tom Sizemore and Nicholas Turturro.
A) It was an honor. They were really great to work with.
Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming A Chance in the World?
A) It was definitely meeting Steve Pemberton for the first time on set and getting a chance to hang with him and his family. We still keep in contact.
Q) You are a part of social media. Are you looking forward to the fan feedback you will be receiving to the movie?
A) Yes, I’ve already been receiving a lot of great feed back from all over the country, from family, friends and fans on social media. Everyone really loved the film. It was super emotional too so there was a lot of crying.
Q) What advice would you give up and coming actors and actresses?
A) I would tell them to follow their dreams and never give up on them. If you want to act, you should know that it can be fun but it’s a lot of hard work! Anything worth having in life requires hard work (words my mom always says).
Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and the work you do?
A) Thanks for being my fans, following me on social media and always having positive things to say. I really appreciate all of your love and support!
