The Big Bang Theory – The Donation Oscillation

The episode opens with Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Zach (Brian Thomas Smith) and Marissa (Lindsey Kraft) discussing Leonard being a donor for Marissa and Zach’s baby. Leonard can’t have sex or pleasure himself until Monday to get the best results. Penny keeps saying it is weird and Zach tells him to think of little boys because he and Marissa want a boy.

Sheldon (Jim Parsons) comes in and Leonard tells him they are busy. He comes in anyway to get something and says that he is tall and smart. Amy (Mayim Bialik) tells him to come home because they don’t want to have his baby. He points out his piercing blue eyes and the fact that he never had a cavity as Amy drags him out.

Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard (Simon Helberg) discuss Raj’s wedding. It would have been that week had he and Anu not decided to slow things down. Howard says he has a non refundable plane ticket, which Raj says he can use to eat non refundable sushi with his dad. Howard says he would need a change of undies for that. Howard also says that he had planned a bachelor party with a weightlessness plane. They decide to go anyway, like the good old days when they were sad, desperate and alone.

Sheldon and Leonard are having lunch when Sheldon randomly tells him he had Nutella on his lip last week. Raj and Howard come to join them. They bring up the bachelor party and neither Leonard nor Sheldon can go. They debate making it a couples weekend or inviting Stuart and Bert. Sheldon thinks it might be funny to see Bert floating.

Penny’s dad Wyatt (Keith Carradine) arrives to visit Penny and Leonard. Before she lets him in, Penny says not to bring up babies. She lets her dad in and offers him beer. He asks her to have one too since she is not pregnant. She drops the bombshell that Leonard is having Zach’s baby.

Howard tells Bernie (Melissa Rauch) about the weekend with the guys. She gets upset she wasn’t invited and he says he didn’t think she would enjoy it because she got sick while on line for the teacup ride in Disneyland. He finally says he wants her to go.

Penny and Leonard are discussing why she told her dad about the plan when Wyatt begins questioning the decision. They explain why they are doing it and Wyatt thinks it is strange and compares it to their prize stud. Leonard and Penny get ready for bed and she tries to seduce him with sexy lingerie and comic books.

The Wolowitzes, Raj and Anu (Rati Gupta) are on their way to their big weekend. Anu is glad Bernie is there because she didn’t think she would enjoy this. She insists she does, while Anu says she is an adrenaline junkie. She makes a joke about Raj bathing with his dog and he says that only happened during a drought. Bernie points out another time and keeps insisting she likes stuff like this, but becoming a mom changed her.

Sheldon wakes up to make himself a snack and is surprised to see Leonard on his couch. He goes to get Amy and says there is something out there. She says he should trap it and she will be right out. He says it is Leonard and they wonder why he is there. Leonard wakes up and says he had to leave because of Penny’s seduction attempts. Amy wonders if Penny is really on board with the plan, but Leonard says if she has a problem she should say something. He also says it is his only chance to have kids, but Amy says it wont make him a father. Sheldon quips that when the kid ends up short, nearsighted  and asthmatic he might hunt him down.

At the weightlessness place everyone has to sign waivers, but Bernie almost chickens out. She admits to Anu she is only there to prove Howie doesn’t know her as well as he thinks. Anu says she should be honest, but Bernie signs the papers and prepares to go while grumbling about the plane tickets.

Penny and Wyatt have a talk about the whole baby situation and Penny finally admits she feels like she is letting everyone down. Wyatt says she could never disappoint him, despite her sneaking out and riding a horse backwards while drunk. He tells her he doesn’t want her to miss out on anything, but he supports her decision.

Leonard comes home and tells Wyatt to back off on them having kids. Penny says they talked and all is right between them. Leonard says he decided not to be the donor because there will be a kid out there and he won’t be the father. They decide to do what she wanted last night and Wyatt says he can hear them.

As the gang gets ready to do their activity, Bernie wonders if she should because she is nervous now that she is a mom. The instructor says it is safer than driving and Bernie tells him to shut it. She and Howie argue and Anu and Raj call them their weirdest friends. Bernie decides to do it to prove a point while Howie sits out.

The show ends with Leonard telling Zach and Marissa the bad news and recommending Sheldon for the job. Sheldon gets the call and Amy tells him not to do it. He tells them he isn’t allowed because his wife said no.
