The Chimpz – Screaming

Q) How would you describe your sound?
A) If you were to describe The Chimpz sound. I’d say picture yourself in a fast car chase with high energy music pumping threw the speakers. Lane to lane. In and out of cars. To get away.
Q) Who are some of your musical influences?
A) The Chimpz influences include Linkin Park, Rage Against the Machine, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Metallica, Deftones and NOFX just to name a few. The members list is infinite.
Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Screaming.”
A) The story behind the song “Screaming” is about that little voice in the back of your head that you don’t want to hear or can’t help but hear.
Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?
A) The thing about this song that our fans can connect to is that in some shape form or way we are all going through the same thing in our minds.
Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?
A) Definitely need music or a melody to create lyrics. It depends on the lyricist of course.
Q) Ryan Greene mixed and produced this track, but how much of say do you have in the production of your music?
A) Ryan Greene has always been a great producer. He has always let us be artistic in our own way as far as writing and recording.
Q) What can fans expect from a live The Chimpz performance?
A) The Chimpz fans can expect a hearing-impaired smack in the face awakening at one of our performances.
Q) Will there be a full EP or album coming in the near future?
A) The Chimpz are constantly working hard on new future EP and album music.
Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?
A) CA, AZ, NM, TX, OK, Rocklahoma, House of Blues and Loud Wire just to name a few. They have always been good to us. We are very appreciative.
Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?
A) Anyone with real musical talent willing to work with us.
Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?
A) I’ve been listening to the new Tool album Fear Inoculum. I dig this band because they are original and haven’t changed their sound over the years.
Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?
A) Social media is a crucial and important way to connect to your fans because times have changed and it’s the way of our future.
Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?
A) I would like to say thank you for supporting and keep listening. We will all be out of our cages soon.
