The episode picks up as Princess Anil (Rebecca Patricia Armstrong) declares her love for Pin in front of everyone saying that she is the only person who deserves to be with Lady Pin. Princess Alisa sits on the couch next to Prince Anan shaking, crying, and yelling for someone to tell her what is happening. Princess Anan (Kanin Stanley) looks to Anil and tells her it is time to give up. She retorts how can she give up, does he expect her to be quiet and let someone take away what’s hers while she is in despair? Princess Alisa (Alicia Hiranprueck) says Pin is a lady like Anil, and she doesn’t see a way that they could live together as a married couple. Anil takes Lady Pin’s hand and looks at her for a few minutes. She then glances at her mother and says she doesn’t need marriage to shame her, she only wishes to stay with Lady Pin and grow old together. Her mother replies that Anil is a Princess and she has to marry someone who is also from a royal family. She goes on to say that her father is looking for a suitable man for Anil to marry. Anil holds Pin’s hands again and Pin strokes her hand lightly. Anil looks at Pin for a few moments before turning to her mother again and telling her that she will give up her title so she can put an end to it. Princess Alisa yells at her. A crying Lady Pin (Sarocha Chankimha) looks over at Anil still holding her hand and tells her not to do it and not to sacrifice herself for her. Anil says no, they will go some place else and live together. Pin looks at Anil and tells her in that case, she will marry Khun Kuea. A shocked Anil asks her what she is saying, and that Pin shouldn’t go against her own will.  Pin goes on to say that Anil should not sacrifice herself, and that no matter what she will marry Khun Kuea. Anil is taken aback and upset. She drops Khun Pin’s hand. Anil storms out of the room as her mother cries out to her.

Anil walks the palace ground and then sits down collapsing. She cries uncontrollably as she is distraught.d shakes.  Eventually Pia finds her  and watches as Anil is bereft.

Back in the parlor, Lady Pin is sprawled out on the sofa as she has passed out and Prik is trying to revive her. Princesss Padmika (Charm Osthanond) stands over her and asks how she is feeling, if she is strong enough to walk back to the Lotus Palace. Both Prik and Padmika assist Lady Pin in getting off the couch and walking to the Lotus Palace.

Outside, Prince Anan finds Pia who continues to watch over a sullen Princess Anil. He approaches her and asks how Anil is doing. Pia (Sutthatip Wutichaipradit) tells him that Anil has been like this for some time. He says he will go and speak with her, and Pia leaves. Prince Anan sits next to Anil on the ground as she wipes at her tears.  He tells her he has been looking everywhere for her. She says where else would she go? She can only go as far as the palace walls allow her. He tells her he is sorry that he wasn’t able to protect her earlier. Anil wipes at her tears and tells him not to blame himself. He did protect her but in his own way. He tells her that she is kind, but more than that, she is the bravest person that he has ever known. Anil tells him what good would it do to be brave for when in the end, Lady Pin is going to marry someone else. He tells her that Pin only did that to protect Anil. She says protect her, or her royal title? He says he is an outsider, but even he could clearly see it, that Lady Pin loves Anil more than she loves herself. Anil tells him she used to think that too, but now she isn’t certain. Anil asks how their mother is and Anan tells her not so good, she is sleeping now.

In Princess Alisa’s bedroom she sleeps as Anil sits on the side of the bed. Anil begins to lightly rub her mother’s hand as she holds it. Princess Alisa awakens and then starts to sit up. Anil apologizes to her mother and says she was rude to her earlier. Princess Alisa says she is not angry at Anil, but she should not say she would give up her title in front of her. She asks Anil to promise her, and Anil sits sadly.  Princess Alisa says she almost stopped breathing when she heard Anil. Princess Alisa cups Anil’s cheek and tells her that Anil is the apple of both her and her father’s eye. Anil tells her should her mother or father wish her to do anything, she is willing to do it, however difficult it may be. Even when they wanted her to go and live abroad for school when she was young, she did that for her.  She goes on to say but when she asked her mother to grant her this one wish, why couldn’t she give it to her? She doesn’t think her royal title would be of any use, for she cannot reach out and acquire whatever it is that she wishes for. Princess Alisa tells Anil that her wish is unacceptable though. Anil questions her, how? She asks her mother if she thinks it’s so easy for her to find someone that she truly loves. Princess Alissa tells her of course not, but she doesn’t see a way how it would be possible. Princess Alisa tells Anil to give up. Anil tells her mother that she will give up on her love only when she can find someone Anil truly loves who is of the same or higher rank Only then will she allow herself to completely erase Pin from her heart. Otherwise, never expect her to waste her time and marry anyone for the rest of her life. The two sit together on the bed and hold each other’s hands.

Lady Pin now lies in bed with Sasa bunny sleeping. She suddenly awakens and gets up and opens her door almost running into Prik who is holding a tray. Prik (Orntara Poonsak) calls after to her asking where she is going but Lady Pin does not respond.

Princess Anil walks around the palace looking around and Prince Anan finds her. He asks her whom she is looking for and she asks him in response how Princess Padmika is, if she passed out like their mother. He tells her she was fine, calmer and more composed than the others.  He mentions their mother needed her inhaler and Lady Pin was crying in despair. Anil asks if Pin was crying had and Anan tells her that she should know after she left the room that Lady Pin cried so much that she fainted. He tells her if she is this worried, Anil should go and check on Lady Pin. She says she would rather not.

Princess Anil walks into the Pine Palace and finds Lady Pin sitting on her couch waiting for her. The two look awkwardly at one another. When Lady Pin attempts to walk towards Anil, Anil walks backward away from her. Anil walks past Lady Pin and Lady Pin yells out to her. Anil doesn’t turn around. She simply tells Pin that Pin has already agreed to marry Khun Kuea, why did Pin come there again? Pin explains she did it for Anil, she doesn’t want Anil giving up her title for her. Anil turns around sharply and tells Pin she doesn’t care about the title! Pin tells Anil not to be mad at her. Anil says how could she not be, when she has done everything she can to fight for their love, but Pin gave up so easily.  How can you still call it love? Pin says it’s all her fault, and she takes Anil’s hand. She asks for forgiveness. Anil takes her hand away. She say she is human like PIn. She has a heart, all flesh and blood, she feels pain just like Pin does. Pin says then please don’t endure pain for her anymore, and understand why she must do this. Anil goes to walk away and Lady Pin chases after her and wraps her arms around Anil’s waist while putting her head on Anil’s shoulder. Pin clings to her, and tells her not to go. Anil tells her to let her go. Pin says no, and holds Anil tighter. Anil tells her that she never wants to see Pin’s face again and walks away.  Outside of the Pine Palace, Anil breaks down crying.

Lady Pin now lies on top of her bed forlornly holding Sasa bunny. Princess Padmika and Prik enter Pin’s bedroom and check on her.

Prik and Pia meet up on the palace grounds and they both are exasperated. They wonder if Pin really has to marry Khun Kuea. Prik asks Pia how Princess Anil is doing and Pia advises that Anil is terrible, she only confines herself to her room and cries. Pia asks how Lady Pin is doing and Prik says terrible, like Princess Anil. Pia asks Prik what they should do, and Prik just says, “let it be.” They both sigh sadly.

Anil comes to see her mother in the front Palace. Princess Alisa greets her concerned as she says she thought Anil was going to stay at the Pine Palace. Anil tells her that from that day forward, she will stay with her mother at the front Palace.  Princess Alisa is happy to hear it. She tells Anil to come and sleep in her room, she will have Prik pack all of Anil’s essentials and bring them. Princess Alisa suggests that they have dinner together and says she will have the servants make all of the food Anil likes.

The family easts together at the dinner table when Prince Arnon (Danny Luciano) comes to sit. He says he is late because he took Lady Orn to do some business and then dropped her off. Prince Arnon goes on to comment that everyone is sitting at the table, even Anil, and that there must be some good news to celebrate. He says he believes that the rumor about Lady Pin must be true. Anil sits silently and picks around her food. Parawatee (Lalichat Warawirojpol) asks Prince Arnon what he means about news and he explains it’s the news about Lady Pin being engaged to Khun Kuea. He says that Khun Kuea has been boasting about it to everyone in the ministry that he will get married soon. Princess Anil comments that Princess Padmika told her about it today. Prince Arnon says that if Lady Pin is going to be married, then Anil will surely be lonely. He teases her that perhaps Anil should get married too. Anil tells him that she never wishes to do that. She then excuses herself from the table. Prince Arnon asks why Anil is upset today and Anan tells him that Anil is not feeling well.

Princess Anil sits alone on a couch and contemplates. Prik approaches her with a tray and asks her to eat. Prik sits down and tells Anil that she has brought her belongings, and wants to know how long Anil plans to stay at the front Palace. She says maybe until the engagement party is done at the Lotus Palace. Anil cries and says she doesn’t want to see Pin with anyone else, nor does she want to see her face. Prik begins to sob. Anil asks her why Prik is crying, as it should be her who cries. Prik says that her heart aches for Anil, she feels her pain. Prik crawls over and Anil hugs her tightly as Prik cries.

A week later, Princess Padmika and Princess Alisa walk together in the palace and Padmika confirms that his Highness has agreed to let them have the engagement party in the front Palace. Padmika asks if Anil will be okay with it since she is now staying in the front palace. Princess Alisa tells Padmika that his Highness still does not know about Anil and Pin, and she doesn’t know how to tell him. Princess Alisa tells Padmika that she should not worry, as this is Anil’s problem that she must cope with herself. Padmika asks for forgiveness as she said Lady Pin has put their family name to disgrace. Alisa tells Padmika there is no need to apologize, as it is the nature of love that can never be forced or confined.

Lady Pin, Princess Padmika, Khun Kuea, and his mother meet in the parlor of the Lotus Palace to discuss the engagement. Khun Kuea’s mother asks Lady Pin if she is going to remove the ring she is wearing before the engagement ceremony. Padmika explains that Lady Pin has worn the ring now for a while, and she is afraid that Pin might not want to remove it. Lady Pin says she does not want to remove the ring. Khun Kuea (Chatchawit Techarukpong) aggressively asks Pin if he is supposed to put another ring on her finger. Padmika says yes, let’s do that, as it is not unusual. She tells him it looks quite fashionable like what Westerners often do. Khun Kuea’s mother agrees to let Lady Pin keep her ring. Khun Kuea comments that it is embarrassing that his ring seems of little value and elegance to Lady Pin compared to her other ring. Padimka explains that it must be his duty to to find a better ring to replace the one on Pin’s finger, or else it will have to be as they agreed. He says in that case, he will let her wear the ring during their engagement ceremony.

Lady Pin and Princess Padmika walk down the hallways of the Lotus Palace. Lady Pin thanks Padmika for not forcing her to take off her ring. Padmika says Pin already agreed to do as she requested, for other things else, she is willing to let Pin do as she likes. Pin asks her if the engagement ceremony really has to take place at the front palace. Padmika says yes, as it is his Highness request. Padmika goes on to say she understands if Pin would find it discomforting. Pin tells her that it’s fine and she can be there.

Anil sits alone in her room drawing Sasa bunny on a pad of paper. Prik comes in and sits nearby. She asks Anil if she had heard that Lady Pin’s engagement party was going to take place at the front Palace. Anil is surprised. Prik tells her that it is at her father’s request. Anil comments that suddenly the Sawettawarit Palace seems like it doesn’t have anywhere for her to stand. Prik suggests that Anil stay at the Pine Palace those days. Anil says she can’t as her mother has been coming to sleep with her every night lately. She hardly lets Anil out of her sight. Prik suggests that they start building the South Palace, as his Highness has intended to have it built for Anil anyway. Anil responds that if Khun Kuea comes to live at the Lotus Palace, then she couldn’t stand living in the Pine Palace having to see them together. She tells Prik that she would rather give the Pine Palace to Prik. Prik says that she doesn’t want it, she just wants to stay wherever Princess Anil stays. Anil thanks Prik for not leaving, and goes on to say that the South Palace won’t be soon as she hasn’t come up with a design for it yet. Anil asks Prik when the engagement ceremony is and if they have set a date. Reluctantly, Prik says that it is set for the approaching Sunday.

Anil walks the palace grounds and walks by the tree she used to climb growing up. She imagines hearing young Lady Pin scolding her. She remembers how she fell out of the tree and on top of Pin causing their lips to brush. Anil sheds a tear. On the opposite side, Pin walks by the tree alone.

Now in her bedroom, Pin lays on her bed snuggling Sasa bunny. Suddenly, Anil is there and she is stroking Pin’s hair. Pin turns over smiling and when she sits up she realizes that Anil isn’t really there. She becomes sad and starts to cry.

Anil is in her bedroom and she finishes a glass of wine. Lady Pin enters the room smiling. Anil sees her and rushes to her trying to put her arms around her neck. Lady Pin vanishes and Anil realizes it was just an illusion. She breaks down and tears start to fall.

The front palace starts the preparations for Lady Pin and Khun Kuea’s engagement ceremony. A sullen Princess Anil, Prik, and Pia watch from a window above. Prik tells Anil that she has locked herself away for many days. Anil says she doesn’t wish to see Lady Pin. Anil asks where Lady Pin is and she is told that Pin is downstairs arranging flowers. Anil says that if she was still a little kid, doing mischievous things with Prik, she would have tied a sheet around the bed post and go downstairs through the window so she wouldn’t have to walk past the Parlor. Prik suggests that Anil can just go downstairs normally and ignore Pin. Anil replies that she could never pretend that Pin wasn’t there. For all her life, her eyes have always been drawn to Pin. She goes on that as long as Pin is downstairs, she will stay upstairs. Pia offers to get Anil something to eat but Anil says that she isn’t hungry. Anil tells Prik she has no appetite, and then sheds a tear. Anil cries and then walks away.

Downstairs Lady Pin is arranging flowers and Pia walks into the Parlor. Lady Pin is busy and at first doesn’t notice Pia looking at her. When Pin glances over, Pia tries to walk away without talking to her. Suddenly Padmika appears and asks Pia where she is going. Pia replies that she is going to get some snacks for Princess Anil. She asks why is she getting snacks instead of a meal at that hour. Pia explains that Anil just wants snacks as she could barely eat anything lately. Padmika offer to make any food that the Princess would like to eat.

At night Princess Anil walks down the stairs and looks around the Parlor with all of the decorations for the engagement party. She imagines herself and Lady Pin in beautiful dresses and Anil slips a ring on Pin’s finger. They smile happily together. Pin takes Anil’s hand and then slips a ring on her finger. They sit on the floor together and beam from their happiness. Back in reality, Anil wipes at the tears that now fall and Prince Anan approaches her from behind. He comforts her. He tells her that loving someone who you are not allowed to love is painful. He said he used to be like that, but as time goes by, she will become stronger. Anil turns to him soaked in tears. He tells her to let it all out, no one will think she is weak for crying. He hugs Anil tightly. She says to him that she lost to Khun Kuea. He tells her she shouldn’t say that, she is superior than him in every way. She said Khun Kuea is a man, that’s why she lost to him. He asks her how can that make Khun Kuea better than Anil? As long as Lady Pin’s heart still belongs to Anil, she will forever be better than him. She says what good would it do to have won her heart when in the end Pin will be with someone else. He holds her close as she sobs against his shoulder.

It’s the day of the engagement ceremony and Khun Kuea and his family arrive. Everyone has gathered on the Parlor and they are just waiting on Princess Anil. They comment that she wasn’t feeling well. His Highness says that Anil must attend as she is Pin’s youngest aunt. Prince Anan says he will have someone fetch her and he asks Pia to go and get her.

Anil sits in her room and Pia comes in and tells her that she has been requested by His Highness. Pia offers to tell him that Anil is sick but Anil says no need, she will attend the ceremony.

Downstairs in the Parlor, the engagement ceremony has started. His Highness (Apinan Prasertwattanakul) and Princess Alisa congratulate Khun Kuea and they offer the couple both advice and jewellery as a gift. Princess Padmika and then Princess Dararai offer the couple their congratulations and advice as well. Just as his Highness asks about Anil, Princess Alisa notices her coming down the staircase. Anil sits on the couch and opens a wooden box which contains the silver hairpin. Lady Pin reaches out her hands and holds the box with Anil, and she starts to tear up. Anil looks at Pin and tells her that she gives her the silver hairpin in hopes that it will reunite and be together with the golden hairpin like how they used to be. Her advice she gives to Lady Pin is may she be happy in love. Pin begins to shed tears. For Khun Kuea, Anil leans in to him so only he hears, and tells him “know your place.”

After the ceremony, everyone sits together at the dining room table. Padmika thanks His Highness for allowing the ceremony to take place there and for the feast he arranged. His Highness says it is his pleasure as he adores her like his own children. Everyone raises their glass to cheers the engagement. Lady Pin looks over at Anil who is eating with her head down. Lady Pin hasn’t touched any food at all. Khun Kuea puts food on Pin’s plate but she doesn’t eat. Anil looks over at Lady Pin. Prince Arnon asks Khun Kuea if they have set a date for the wedding. He tells him it will be the middle of next month. Lady Uangfah comments that everything seems to happen so fast, be it engagement or wedding. Khun Kuea says if you include the time he has courted Lady Pin, it’s not fast at all. It felt long to him. Anil rolls her eyes and keeps eating. Miss Orn (Tanida Bavornkaisri) asks if Lady Pin will be leaving the palace and Khun Kuea tells her no, Princess Padmika is fond of Lady Pin and so they have agreed to move in and stay with her. An angry Anil drops her silverware on her plate at that. Everyone looks over at her. She apologizes and says it’s probably because her limbs are weak due to not feeling well today. Prince Anan asked if Princess Anil needs some medicine and to go rest. She tells him no, it’s just a headache and she will stand it. Lady Pin looks over at Anil worried. She then looks down at her plate. Lady Uangfah (Sarochinee Petampai) asks Anil if she would like her to stay at the Pine Palace with her that evening to take care of her in case she has a fever. Anil agrees. She asks Prik to go and prepare a room for Lady Uangfah. Anil looks over at Pin who is upset.

After dinner, Lady Uangfah and Anil are in the Pine Palace and Anil offers her some tea. Anil asks how Lady Uangfah has been doing, and Uangfah tells her that physically she has been fine but mentally she has not been well. She goes on to say that seeing Lady Pin forced to have her engagement so suddenly makes her feel worse. It reminds her of her own fate. Anil asks if Lord Muang-Rahm has been pressuring her and she says no, but her mother has about choosing a date. She comments how burdensome it is to be a woman, they never have the right to choose. Anil says sometimes even when you do, the other party might not feel the same. Lady Uangfah comments, Anil means like her and Lady Pin… Anil is shocked that Uangfah knew about them. Uangfah says that her eyes are glued to Anil, of course she would know that Anil has fallen into the hollow of pain just like she has. Anil begins to cry. She says is this the destiny she has to face? Uangfah asks why Anil says that. Anil says asks why is she feeling such unbearable pain as if her heart was being torn into a thousand pieces. That this must be fate and karma for the tears that she has caused Uangfah to shed. Uangfah says that she never blamed Anil for that, and her only wish is for Anil to be happy in love. Anil is sobbing. Uangfah tells her not to give up, as she will also never give up on her fate. She goes on to tell Anil that she knows Anil is not the kind of person to give up so easily. Anil says she is in fact very weak, and finds herself inferior to every man in this world. Anil says she is not able to be with the person she loves the most. Uangfah comforts Anil and tells her not to blame herself. They hug each other close as Anil cries and cries.

From outside of the open doors of Pine Palace, Lady Pin stands and overhears the exchange between Uangfah and Anil. She cries to herself uncontrollably.
