The Loyal Pin – Episode 15

The episode picks up with the wedding ceremony of Lady Pin (Sarocha Chankimha) and Khun Kuea (Chatchawit Techarukpong) about to be completed. Suddenly, there is a disruption and an extremely pregnant Miss Savitree walks in and causes a ruckus! She looks over at Khun Kuea and tells him all of this time was he just playing her for a fool? He said he was going to marry her soon, so what does this wedding mean? Khun Kuea’s father yells at Miss Savitree to get out and two men who are guests get up and take her by the arms to try and escort her out.  Khun Kuea screams at them to let her go! She breaks free from the men and she yells out that she is the groom’s wife! All of the guests are in shock. Khun Kuea calls out saying Miss Savitree is talking rubbish and how dare she accuse him! She says accuse, the evidence is in her belly. He says when did he make her pregnant? That’s not his child! She explains when he came to see her every single day. He states she became pregnant with someone else’s child and is now accusing him! She says he knows it well otherwise why did he buy her a house? She had to quit going to university because she became pregnant and all he did was leave and try to marry someone else. He accuses her of lying. She says if she is lying, she is going to beat up their unborn child in front of its father. She begins to punch her fists at her belly and beat up her stomach.  Khun Kuea rushes over and tells her to stop! She continues to beat at her stomach and he yells at her to stop, that’s their unborn child! Lady Pin begins to spiral as she watches Khun Kuea and Miss Savitree argue. She starts thinking about her words agreeing to marry Khun Kuea. She thinks about the words that Anil told her in anger. Suddenly, Lady Pin passes out! Princess Padmika notices and yells out! Prik (Orntara Poonsak) and Pia (Sutthatip Wutichaipradit) rush over to Lady Pin to try and help her. Miss Savitree and Khun Kuea are still fighting with each other when His Highness (Apinan Prasertwattanakul) screams out, “Enough!”  He looks directly at Khun Kuea and asks him what this means.

Lady Pin is still unconscious but she is now in her bedroom as Princess Padmika watches over her. Princess Padmika (Charm Osthanond) cries and thinks back to her argument with Lady Pin. She thinks about her cruel words when she told Pin that she had to marry Khun Kuea and Lady Pin crying profusely. When Lady Pin said that she would die if she didn’t see the Princess again and Padmika replied that she would also like to see if Pin stops breathing in front of her. She thinks about how Lady Pin tearfully told Anil that no matter what she would marry Khun Kuea.  She reflects on how she turned Anil away when she tried to tell her that Khun Kuea was cheating on Lady Pin and didn’t believe her. She thinks about what transpired at the wedding with Khun Kuea arguing with Miss Savitree. Prik enters the room with a bowl of water and a towel. She tells Padmika that His Highness would like to see her. Prik tells Padmika that she feels badly for Lady Pin as she could hardly eat or sleep before the wedding, and now she must face this heartbreaking incident. Padmika asks Prik to look after Lady Pin and she leaves the room. As Prik uses the towel she brought to wipe at Lady Pin’s arms, Lady Pin awakens. Prik asks Pin how she is doing and she tells her that she is fine. Pin asks about the wedding and starts to slowly sit up.  Prik explains that the wedding was a complete mess and that His Highness is currently talking to Khun Kuea and his family. Pin asks Prik if she can go and find out what is going on.

Back at the wedding, His Highness tells Khun Kuea’s father that his son has brought great disgrace, and how dare they ask for his wish for this wedding. Khun Kuea’s father apologizes and says he did not raise him well. His Highness says not to apologize to him, but he owes an apologize to Princess Padmika and Lady Pin! Princess Padmika gives Khun Kuea an angry glare. His Highness says that just an apology cannot amend everything that has transpired. He tells Khun Kuea that he wants him to marry the woman who is pregnant with his child. He goes on to say that from now on, their family is not welcome or allowed at the Palace ever again. As for the wedding with Lady Pin, it shall be deemed null and void! Standing outside the room, Prik overhears everything and smiles as she cries.

Khun Kuea chases after Prince Arnon (Danny Luciano) asking for the opportunity to explain. He tells him that he should go back as he does not wish to talk to him right now. In another room, Prince Anan (Kanin Stanley) stands having some tea.  Prince Arnon walks into the room in a huff and sits down at a table. Arnon says he never thought that Khun Kuea would be so selfish and that he has never been so disappointed.  Prince Anan tells him that people are like this, you only know what they want you to know. Arnon says that he shouldn’t have introduced Khun Kuea to Lady Pin and he has done her a terrible wrong. Anan tells Arnon not to blame himself, and that he doesn’t believe that Princess Padmika or Lady Pin blames him either. They were all fooled by Khun Kuea. Arnon says Khun Kuea has left them all in dismay, and he could not imagine how horrible Princess Padmika and Lady Pin would feel.

Princess Padmika stands and looks out of a window at the Palace. Princess Alisa (Alicia Hiranprueck) approaches and Pia tells her that Padmika has been standing like that for a while. She says that Padmika must be very disappointed about Khun Kuea. Princess Alisa asks Pia to leave. When Pia is gone, Princess Alisa asks Padmika why she is standing there. She asks her why Padmika doesn’t go and tell Lady Pin the good news or is Padmika not pleased with His Highness’ judgement. Padmika says it was she who brought such shame and disgrace upon their family. Princess Alisa tells her not to blame herself, as it is Khun Kuea who is the one that did wrong. She says with regard to what happened, if they look at it in a bad way, it is dreadful. But however, it is fortunate that they found out before it was too late. Padmika says nonetheless, she has tainted their family name with shame and embarrassment. She says as for Lady Pin, surely people will be gossiping about her. Princess Alisa says let them say what they want, don’t pay any attention. She believes that His Highness is not the kind of person who is embarrassed easily.  Just as she says that, His Highness shows up and agrees with her. He tells Padmika the one who should be embarrassed is Khun Kuea. He says that they are fortunate that they found out now rather than when Lady Pin is already married. He says he is going to order everyone to never talk about the incident again. 

In Lady Pin’s bedroom sits Prik recounting to Pin what happened with His Highness. She tells her that His Highness ordered Khun Kuea to marry Miss Savitree properly and also forbade him from ever stepping foot in the Grand Palace ever again. Prik excitedly tells Pin that regarding the wedding, it should be considered void! Pin asks her if that means she doesn’t have to marry Khun Kuea at all and Prik says yes! With that, a happy Lady Pin opens up her bedroom window and takes Khun Kuea’s ring off of her finger and throws it far! Prik asks her why she did that when a ring like that is very expensive. Pin tells her that a ring from a worthless man is merely nothing but rubbish. Prik sulks telling her that Pin could have given her the ring and she would have sold it for a lot of money. Pin tells Prik that she is so happy. Prik tells her that it would be better if Princess Anil was there and she would know that all of her efforts and hard work has paid off. Prik says that the Princes tried to persuade Miss Savitree to come forward and reveal the truth to everyone. She goes on to say that Princess Anil was willing to do anything and that it was not until the night before that she finally gave up and fled to Hua Hin as she did not want to see Lady Pin marry someone else. 

In Hua Hin, Princess Anil (Rebecca Patricia Armstrong) sits alone on the beach looking out at the water. Miss Aon (Neilinyah Taweearayapat) approaches her and comes and sits by her in the sand. She tells Anil that she must eat something and Anil tells her that she doesn’t have an appetite. She goes on to say that knowing that by now Lady Pin might be in Khun Kuea’s arms, it makes hear heart wrench even more. Anil begins to cry.

Cut to the Palace where Anil is staying in Hua Hin and the phone is ringing but there is no one there to answer. Anil and Miss Aon walk up the stairs and enter as they hear the phone. Anil wonder who could be calling. Back at the Palace, Prince Anan sets down the phone and Pia asks if the Princess is not answering. He says perhaps she is not home. Pia suggests that they should try calling again. At Hua Hin, Miss Aon tells Anil that she should go and freshen up and then they can have dinner. As Anil and Miss Aon walk away from the phone it begins to ring again. They both turn back to answer but Anil says that she will get it. Anil answers the phone and Prince Anan is happy to speak with her. He says that he has tried many times to reach her. He tells her that the wedding has been cancelled.  She begins to smile and asks him if that’s true. She tells him that she will leave for home tomorrow at dawn! She hangs up and tells Miss Aon the good news! They begin to hug each other tightly.

Now at night, Princess Anil walks along the beach and looks up at the stars while smiling brightly. She thinks about the time she was there with Lady Pin at night with a candlelit blanket and the two pledged their love to each other. She says out loud, “Please wait for me Pin. Tomorrow I will return to your arms.” At the palace, Lady Pin looks up at the sky and says out loud,” “Please come back to me soon Anil. This time, I shall never let go of your hands ever again.” 

The next day, Prik enters Lady Pin’s room and looks around for her but does not find her. She then runs around the Palace grounds looking for Lady Pin and everyone tells her that they have not seen Lady Pin. Prik runs over to the Pine Palace and sees that Lady Pin is unconscious on the steps. Prik wakes up Pin and Prik asks her why she slept outside. Pin says that she came to wait for the Princess. She wishes to be the first person to see her when she returns. Prik tells her that she better get inside as Pin is boiling hot with fever. Lady Pin then lays on the couch at the Pine Palace and Prik comes in with some food. She tells Lady Pin to please eat something so that she can take some pills. Pin tells her no, she will wait for Princess Anil to come back and that Hua Hin is not that far. Pin comments that Anil must have completely forgotten about her. She tells Prik that she can leave as she is going to rest. Prik implores her to eat. Pin says that should the Princess return, please leave. Should she be hungry, she will eat. Prik gets up and walks out and finds Princess Padmika standing outside. Prik tells her that Pin refuses to eat as she wants to wait for the Princess to return. She says that Pin must have been waiting outside all night long for the Princess which is why she is sick with a cold. Padmika says how she wishes that she could make the Princess appear right now.

On the road, Princess Anil is driving herself and Miss Aon back to the Palace along with their driver. Miss Aon comments that Anil is driving too fast and asks if they should let the driver take over for her. Anil says no, she is restless and wants to drive herself. Miss Aon remarks again that Anil is driving too fast and it is very dangerous. Anil says she wants to be with Pin as quickly as she can and continues speeding. Suddenly, Miss Aon calls out as a truck collides with their car!

Lady Pin awakens from her nightmare yelling out for Anil! Lady Pin is shaken and upset. She says it’s already dark and asks if Anil has returned yet. Prik tells her not yet. Lady Pin is concerned. Lady Pin runs out of the Palace and Prik and Pia chase after her. Suddenly at the front of the Palace is Princess Anil. Lady Pin smiles at her from afar. The two run to each other and put their arms around one another in a tight embrace. Pin cries and asks if Anil has finally come back to her. Pin asks if she is dreaming and Anil tells her no, she is not. Pin asks Anil what took her so long and Anil says that her car broke down and that she was restless and so she took a train home instead. Pin cries some more and says she thought that Anil would never come back to her. Anil holds Pin’s hands and asks her why she would say that. Pin tells her that because for the past few months, Anil had her believing it was that way. Anil asks for forgiveness and says that a person like her who is so foolishly in love with Pin did not have much of a choice. She asks didn’t she have the right to be angry? Pin nods. Anil says that Pin should not forget that Anil also has a heart. A teary Pin asks if that’s why Anil told her to stay out of her sight. Anil says that she had to as it hurt her unbearably when Pin treated her as if she was an affair. Anil goes on to say that it hurt when Pin said she wanted Khun Kuea to move in so that Pin could still see Anil every day. Anil asks if it ever occurred to Pin how she would feel having to see her every day being with Khun Kuea? Pin asks for forgiveness as it never occurred to her. She apologizes for being selfish. She asks Anil for forgiveness. Anil touches Pin’s cheek and tells her that she has long forgiven her, but she is still hurt. Pin touches Anil’s hand on her face and holds her other hand. Pin says that she will do everything that she can to make it up to Anil. Anil asks her how? Pin says by agreeing to everything that Anil wishes to do, and by never choosing a path that will separate them and force them to walk a different path. Anil asks Pin if she really means it, and Pin nods yes. Anil leans in and the two kiss. When they pull apart Princess Anil kisses Pin on each cheek. She then tells her that Princess Padmika has informed her that Pin is sick. 

Flash to Anil walks purposely up the steps at the Lotus Palace and she is greeted by Princess Padmika. Padmika asks Anil if she can go and take care of Lady Pin as she has fallen ill and has refused to eat anything. Padmika says she is too ashamed to face Lady Pin herself, but if it was Princess Anil, she is sure that Pin would be pleased. Princess Anil then walks off.

Back to the present, Princess Anil says that Padmika was waiting for her and informed her herself of Pin’s illness. Pia says if that is the case, than she thinks that Padmika is no longer against Anil and Pin being together. Prik asks if they should celebrate the good news with some food, as Lady Pin has fallen sick waiting for the Princess to return and refused to eat. A worried Anil asks if it is true and a sad faced Pin says yes. 

Inside the Pine Palace, Anil attempts to feed a sulking Lady Pin. Anil reminds Pin that she told her she would do as Anil wishes. Pin retorts that she will eat one bite for every answer that Anil gives her to one of her questions. Anil tells her to ask away. Lady Pin’s first question is if the sea in Hua Hin is clear. Anil tells her not very clear, but quite clear indeed! Pin sulks again from Anil teasing her. Anil tells her she should keep her promise, one bit for every answer to a question. Pin reluctantly gives in and lets Anil feed her.  Once Pin swallows, her next question is the night that Lady Uangfah stayed over, where did she sleep? Anil tells her in the guest room, of course! Pin is happier now. Anil continues to feed her. Pia and Prik come in and bring a bowl of water and a towel. They sit down and tease Pin. Pin tries to make a gesture to get Pia and Prik to leave them alone. Anil does the same gesture at Prik and Prik gets the hint. Pia and Prik leave and just outside the door they smile and talk. Prik says she told Pia that Lady Pin is sure to recover quickly with the Princess by her side! Suddenly Princess Padmika appears in front of them. Padmika asks if everything is going well and Prik says yes, she prepared everything as Padmika had said. 

In the bedroom at the Pine Palace, Lady Pin sits on the bed. Anil sets down the bowl of water and towel and tells her to let herself get cleaned up a little bit so that she will feel more comfortable when she rests. Anil unbuttons Lady Pin’s blouse and then grabs the wet towel. Anil begins to dab the cloth against Pin’s neck and chest. As she does so, Anil leans in and tries to kiss Lady Pin. Pin asks her what she is doing. A cheeky Anil says that she is checking Pin’s fever. Pin asks if that’s how you do it, and Anil says yes. Pin asks what if she is not sick anymore, would she still check for fever. Anil says yes, as she is not quite sure if Pin is fully recovered. Pin asks how Anil will do it. Anil tells her first she must unravel every part of Pin. Anil slowly leans in and pushes Pin back onto the bed. They look at one another and tell each other I love you. They slowly begin to kiss each other. Pin suddenly turns Anil over and Anil teases that Pin is still sick.

Afterwards, Lady Pin stands out on the terrace smiling and just taking everything in. Anil quietly comes up behind and her and gives her a back hug while wrapping a blanket around them both. Anil teases her that finally Pin’s check up is done. They continue to cuddle and Anil says that Pin may feel sick again if she stays outside too long. Sullenly, Pin says she doesn’t want to sleep yet as she is afraid that this will all have been a dream. Like how she used to have bad dreams. How she is scared that she will never see Anil again. Anil tells her that he is not going anywhere, she promises. When Pin wakes up Anil will be there holding her in her arms. Pin says if Anil says so, then she will believe her. Pin asks Anil when she told her that she would go away to England and never return, Anil cuts her off and says she is not going, having Pin in her arms, Anil will never go anywhere again. Pin says that Anil must be mad at her for never doing anything to fight for their love. Anil replies not at all. Now that she has had time to think about it, each of them has their own reason for what they did. She says Pin was fighting in her own way. As a lover, Pin chose to sacrifice her happiness for Anil. As a niece, Pin chose to be grateful and fulfill her aunt’s request. Pin says that from now on, please know that she will never choose a path that will make them stay apart. She promises. They kiss and continue to cuddle.

The next day Anil meets with Princess Padmika. Princess Anil tells her that she would like to apologize to her and also ask for her advice on something. Anil says she would like to apologize to Padmika for behaving badly on that day. She says she was stubborn and blinded by her own reason, she didn’t care what others would think and it was selfish of her. Anil asks Padmika for forgiveness. Padmika says that in her opinion, Anil was brave and honest. She goes on to say that all her life, she has never met someone as brave and honest to her feelings as Anil. Anil says however she should never have displayed such bad manners and disrespect. Padmika says Anil did not, as every single word she said turned out to be true. Padmika says it was her who was stubborn and almost ended up having such a horrible man as a nephew-in-law. She’s ays how dare he ask for her niece’s hand in marriage when he already had a wife who was pregnant. She feels angry for believing that he was a decent man. Anil tells her not to blame herself. She knows that Padmika would always make the best choices. In her opinion, Lady Pin is very fortunate to have escaped marriage to that man. She says that it’s better for Anil as no one will accuse Pin of abandoning him unfairly. Padmika tells Anil that she is sorry for ignoring her objection and not heeding her advice. She asks Anil to accept her apology. Anil tells her that she doesn’t have to apologize at all. Padmika reminds Anil that she also wanted her advice, and asks her what it is she needs. Anil tells her she wants to ask her approval with her relationship with Lady Pin. She goes on saying that Lady Pin loves and respects Padmika and that it is their wish to keep seeing each other under Padmika’s approval.  They do not wish to do it behind Padmika’s back like before. Anil promises that she will never bring shame to Padmika’s name. Padmika says the storm has already passed. She does not have a problem with their request. Anil smiles then bows to Padmika. Anil thanks her. When Padmika’s face changes to worry, Anil tells her she knows Padmika still has something on her mind. Padmika says her concern is how His Highness would react about it. Anil tells her not to worry as she will handle that problem. 

Cut to Anil speaking with her mother and telling her that she wants to tell her father about her relationship with Lady Pin. Princess Alisa is upset and frets about it. Anil says that she wants to be honest with him. She wants him to know that she is deeply in love with Lady Pin and she never wishes to marry anyone. Princess Alisa begs Anil not to tell him as she is worried how he would react. Anil says she wants to be honest with herself and she doesn’t want to keep something so important from her father who she loves and respects. Anil says whatever the consequences may be, she is willing to accept them. 

On the Palace grounds stand Lady Pin and Princess Anil holding hands. Pin says if possible she would like to go with Anil to talk with her father. She wants to stand by her. Anil tells her just hearing that already, makes her very happy. However, she says this time, let her go alone and talk to him. She asks Pin to wait for her there. Pin starts to object and Anil counters that Pin had told her she would let her do whatever she wished. Pin relents and agrees. She says but from now on, no matter what Anil would decide to do, however good or bad, whatever the consequences may be, please remember that she will always be and never let her hands go. Anil asks Pin once again to wait for her, as it will not be long. 

His Highness sits in his study reading a book. Anil enters and sits down at the desk. He asks her what she would like to talk about and she says she has something important that she wishes to have his approval on. She asks him to stay single for the rest of her life. He doesn’t understand and asks her to clarify. She says it means she never wishes to marry anyone. He asks her why and she says she only has one reason. She is deeply in love with someone she is unable to marry. That’s why she her only wish is to stay by her lover’s side and grow old together without having a wedding. He asks who that person is and she tells him with a smile Lady Pilantita. 

The episode ends with Lady Pin still waiting on Anil and Anil sitting in front of her father asking for his approval.
