The Loyal Pin – Episode 6

Episode 6 picks up where Anil and Pin left off, they sit on Anil’s bed in the Pine Palace and start to kiss. The two slowly escalate their activities and Anil (Rebecca Patricia Armstrong) lays Pin (Sarocha Chankimha) back on the bed.  Anil’s kissing of Pin intensifies, and Pin slightly pushes her away. Anil worries that she has made Pin uncomfortable, and Pin assures her it’s just that she can’t catch her breath.  Anil tells Pin that she’s adorable, and she promises to be very gentle with her.  They resume their tender affection and Anil begins to remove Pin’s clothing.  The two slowly and tenderly consummate their relationship together.

In the early morning stirring from sleeping next to Princess Anil, Lady Pin wakes up and attempts to extricate herself from Anil’s arms.  Anil attempts to keep Lady Pin close, and asks her why she is up so early. Pin explains that she is worried that Princess Padmika (Charm Osthanond) may be looking for her. Anil tells Pin that she wants her to stay so that she can keep holding her close. Anil peppers Pin with kisses and asks her not to go back. Pin begrudgingly says that she has to and tells Anil to get more sleep as Anil hardly got much last night. Pin excuses herself and says she will see Anil later.

Dressed, carrying her new gifted hairpin, and closing the door to Anil’s bedroom, Pin starts to leave but is startled when she sees Prik (Orntara Poonsak) nearby. When Pin tries to leave again, Prik moves in her path to impede her. Pin asks Prik why she is there so early, and Prik claims it is because she is washing the glass doors. She teases Pin that she couldn’t see clearly, but she heard a lot of squeaking noises – which she tauntingly mimics.  When Pin once again tries to leave, Prik stops her and asks why Pin has come to see Princess Anil so early in the morning. When Pin tries to think of an excuse and can’t, so she tries to deflect by telling Prik it’s none of her business!  Prik strikes back by telling Lady Pin that her shirt is misbuttoned! Pin looks down and realizes that Prik was teasing her. An annoyed Pin yells at Prik and then walks away.

Smiling as she walks through the Lotus Palace, Lady Pin seems to be so happy.  That is until she is caught by Princess Padmika. Before turning around, Lady Pin hides the hairpin box behind her back. Princess Padmika questions Lady Pin as to where she has been, and Pin responds she spent the night at the Pine Palace. Padmika tells Pin that she doesn’t have any issues with Lady Pin being close to Anil, but to make sure she is considerate of both the Princess and her family as Padmika and Pin are living under their roof. Padmika goes on to tell Pin to freshen up and then make breakfast for Anil.

Cut to flashback of Pin and Anil in bed basking after their love making. They are smiling happy and in full blown bliss together. Pin reverently caresses Anil’s dimples and tells her that she has always dreamt of one day being able to kiss them. Anil tells her that her wish is to devour Pin and have her all to herself. The two exchange I love you’s and Anil tells Pin that from now on they are each other’s.

Next we see Anil laying in her bed alone and she’s smiling so brightly having thought of the moments she spent with Pin. She rolls back and forth in the bed in her joy.  Suddenly Prik pops up on the edge of the bed and catches Anil off guard. Prik comments that Anil is behaving different than the day before as she and Lady Pin officially belong to each other.  Anil comments that she is hungry and Prik suggests that maybe Anil wants honeymoon toast.

On the palace lawn is Prince Anan (Kanin Stanley) who is having some morning coffee being served by Parawatee (Lalichat Warawirojpol). Prince Arnan (Danny Luciano) approaches and joins them. He inquires as to if Anan and Parawatee have plans for their honeymoon and Anan explains that they will have their honeymoon in England since he has to accompany Anil back when she returns.  He says that they will leave soon. Parawatee inquires whether that means Anil has to return to school earlier than scheduled, and he affirms she will and that he will tell her himself.

Anil looks outside of the doors of the Pine Palace and is searching for Princess Anil.  Prik enters with breakfast and tells her although it’s not honeymoon toast as Anil wanted, it’s food that will help Anil keep her energy up. Anil goes to the doors again and tries to look for Lady Pin but doesn’t spot her. She asks Prik where Pin is as she misses her. Prik explains that Lady Pin is busy working with Princess Padmika and Anil wants to know where… 

Cut to Lady Pin with Padmika and they are washing clothes with fragrant ingredients. Padmika is instructing Pin on how to wash the laundry with boiling water, roasted fenugreek, Alyxia, and pandan leaves. Then strain they strain the herbal water and Lady Pin then washes the clothes in it. Afterwards we see Lady Pin hanging up the laundry to dry. As she does so she looks up at the sky and sees a kite flying. Written on the kite says “Miss you so much” and it has two hearts drawn on it. Pin looks around and doesn’t see anyone so she goes back to her work. Suddenly she hears her name being called and sees that Anil is hiding behind one of the hanging laundry sheets. Anil tells her that she misses her, and she wants to know if Pin has much more work to do. Pin tells her a lot is left and Anil wonders if Pin has so much work to do that she won’t have time to miss her. Pin enters the sheet where Anil is hiding and tells her that she misses Anil all the time. They begin to kiss and we then see a montage of them spending the day together. They eat street food, they ride a trolley car and they carve fruit together. 

At night in the Pine Palace the two are hanging out together. Anil tells Pin that she is hungry, and Pin asks her what she is interested in eating. Anil asks Pin if she can eat her… the two then begin to kiss and then walk back towards the sofa. They eventually lay down together on the sofa and make love.

The next morning at the breakfast table Lady Pin helps serve the food. Sitting at the table is Princess Padmika and Parawatee, and Prince Anan walks in to join them. Parawatee asks the Prince what his father wanted to speak with him about. He says that his father is worried about potential suitors for Anil as he hasn’t been able to find anyone suitable for her. Pin asks Anan if that means that Anil can remain unmarried like Princess Padmika. Padmika says that is unlikely, and that her being unmarried is not uncommon as she was taken in by the palace at a young age. She goes on to say that Sawettawarit is a famous and wealthy family, eventually Anil will have to get married – and so will Lady Pin. She comments as well that she has already has some prospects in mind.

On the palace grounds Lady Pin stands just contemplating and waiting. Prik and Princess Anil approach her and Anil explains she has some cookies that her brother brought her back from the Western shop and she would like Pin to try. Prik teases that Anil didn’t want to eat any of the cookies until Pin fed her. Anil chastises Prik and Prik excuses herself to leave. As Pin goes to try and eat the cookie, Anil takes a bite at the same time. Pin worries someone will see them as they are in the garden, not Anil’s bedroom. As Anil tries to kiss Pin all over, Prik returns and tells them that Khun Kuea is there in the parlor of the Lotus Palace to see Lady Pin. An angry Anil tells Prik to inform him to have tea with her in the front palace.

In the front palace Khun Kuea (Chatchawit Techarukpong) comes to greet Princess Anil and Lady Pin for tea. Anil tells him that it’s still working hours, and asks him how is Khun Kuea able to come see them at this time? He says he has a matter to discuss with Lady Pin and Anil tells him to just say it in front of everyone. He says that he wants to invite Lady Pin to a gala dinner that the Ministry is having the following week. Prik chimes in asking if that’s the gala dinner where most couples on the dance floor are lovers or married. An upset Anil tells him how dare he invite Pin to such an event! He says he only wanted to know if she would like to go the party with him. Anil asks Pin if she would like to go to the party and Pin says no, she never said she wanted. Anil tells him that Pin has rejected him and he should go back to work. Khun Kuea apologizes and then leaves. After he exits, Anil smiles and laughs. She gives an air high five to Prik and when she tries with Lady Pin, Pin just smiles and shakes her head.

As Khun Kuea leaves, Pranot (Nuttapart Tuntistianchai) comes strolling in to see Anil. Anil is surprised and asks him why he is there. He says he misses her so he came for a visit. Anil looks awkwardly at Pin who is staring off seemingly stirred by Pranot’s presence. Pranot says he saw Khun Kuea leaving and he seemed grumpy. Anil tells him that Khun Kuea skipped work to ask Lady Pin out and Lady Pin says that because of that, Anil decided to teach him a lesson. Pranot says he actually came to see Anil because he wanted to know the date she is returning to England, so that he can make arrangements to go at the same time. Anil remarks that it should be far away as the semester isn’t set to start yet. Pranot is confused and asks if Prince Anan has told her yet that she has to return earlier than scheduled. Princess Anil and Lady Pin are shocked.

Anil goes to see her brother and he tells her that it’s true, they are going to England earlier. He is going to accompany her on the return so he and Parawatee can have their honeymoon. He says he wanted to adhere to Anil’s schedule, but he has some matters to take care of. She asks him when does she have to leave and he says next week.

Lady Pin walks into the Pine Palace and collapses crying on the floor. Anil comes up behind her and wraps her arms around Pin. As Pin cries Anil attempts to comfort her. Lady Pin sobs and says that she doesn’t want Anil to go. Anil holds Pin close and cries with her and they console each other.

Later on Prik and Anil are talking and Prik is also upset that Princess Anil is leaving. Anil tells her that it isn’t her choice. Prik says Anil should at least postpone her trip until after Lady Pin’s birthday. 

The following day Lady Pin sits forlornly lost in thought while she crafts flower arrangements.  Padmika approaches her and tells her that unlike last time, Princess Anil will only be gone for a short period. She goes on to say that she would like Pin to meet her in her room as she has something to talk to her about. Padmika tells Pin that Princess Alisa wishes to gift her with her favorite set of ruby accessories. Pin wonders why Princess Alisa has given her this gift and Padmika explains it is for Pin’s birthday. Pin still doesn’t understand why Princess Alisa has given her such an extravagant and precious gift. Padmika tells Pin that she will have to talk to Anil about that. There is one more thing that Padmika tells Pin, she is excused from doing her chores the rest of the time and she is allowed to stay at the Pine Palace.  Cut to a flashback of Anil asking Padmika if Pin could come and stay with her at the Pine Palace before she has to leave for England.  

Lady Pin enters the Pine Palace and she looks around for Anil but can’t seem to find her anywhere. Out of nowhere behind Pin, suddenly Anil and Prik emerge with a cake and lit candles singing Happy Birthday to Pin.  Anil tells her that she has to make a wish and blow out the candles. Pin says it’s still many days before her birthday, and Anil comments that she wants to celebrate it that day. Pin asks where Anil got such a crumpled cake from and she tells her that it’s from her. Prik explains that Anil made the cake herself and also dinner for Lady Pin. Prik teasing says that Anil’s culinary skills left the kitchen a disaster! Flash to a montage of Prik and Anil in the kitchen making a huge mess from having fun while baking. Prik says that Prince Anan offered to buy a cake from a Western shop but Anil refused as she wanted to bake the cake herself. Anil tells Prik to get out! Prik is sour and asks if Anil is going to let her celebrate Pin’s birthday too as she helped make the cake as well.  Anil tells her that she would like to be alone with Lady Pin. 

With candles lit all around the dining room, Anil and Pin sit and eat dinner together and smile happily at one another as they eat their pasta. Anil tells Pin that although the cake may look a mess, at least the other food she made still tastes delicious. Pin asks Anil why Princess Anil gave her such a precious gift and Anil tells her it’s because Pin is her daughter-in-law. Pin asks if Anil told Princess Alisa about her birthday and Anil says yes. She then inquires what gift that Pin would like from Anil this year. Pin tells her she would like them to get up early and make merit and give alms to the monks. Anil hesitates and explains that she won’t be able to stay until it is Pin’s birthday. She has to return to England by the end of that week. Pin puts down her silverware and begins to cry. Anil gets up from the table and goes over to Pin to console her. Anil holds Pins’ head to her chest and lightly rubs it.

Next we see Lady Pin sitting at a dining table with Princess Padmika who is eating away. Lady Pin hasn’t even touched her plate and is just staring blankly in sad contemplation. Padmika notices Pin zoning out and tries to give her some food but Pin tells her that she is full. She tells Padmika that she is not hungry at all and excuses herself. 

In the garden Lady Pin sits and crafts flower arrangements while Prik and Koi (Anna Benedic) stand close by watering the flowers. Koi comments to Prik that for many days Pin has been picking at her food and that if it continues, she will surely faint and fall sick. Princess Anil shows up and Prik tells her that since Anil told Pin that she is returning to England, Lady Pin has been in great dismay. That she has hardly had anything to eat. Anil says that she will go and talk to Pin. But just as she is about to, Pin gets up from the table and starts to sway. Anil catches her and tells her that she heard Pin has hardly eaten the last few days. She says that Pin looks pale, and that if anything happens to Pin, how would she live? Pin tells Anil that she is fine, but just as she goes to walk away, she falls to the ground. Prik runs off to get help.

Upon hearing that Lady Pin has fainted and is at the Pine Palace, a concerned Princess Padmika stands up and walks out to go and see Lady Pin. At Lady Pin’s bedside, Princess Padmika checks on her. She tells Pin that she was dreadfully shocked when she heard the news about her collapsing.  Leaving the room, Princess Padmika encounters Princess Anil and tells her that Pin insists on staying at the Pine Palace. Princess Anil assures her that she will take care of Pin.  Princess Padmika leaves and Princess Anil goes in to the room and sits nearby on the bed as Pin rests.  Anil apologizes to Pin and says that Pin is sick because of her. Lady Pin takes Anil’s hand and places it lovingly against her cheek as she drifts asleep. 

Downstairs by the doors to the palace, Anil laments to Prik that it’s all her fault that Pin is sick because she kept avoiding telling Pin her return date. Prik says that it must be hard for Pin as she had been waiting five years for Anil to see her again, and they both have just started to send time together and now Anil has to return to England. Anil says that it won’t be long this time, just two years. Prik tells her that two years is a long time for someone who is waiting in agony. Now that Anil and Pin are together, Pin awaiting for Anil to come back will surely be more suffering for Pin. Anil say that if she was able to write her own destiny, she would never have chosen to leave. 

When morning reaches Lady Pin awakes and searches for Princess Anil. Downstairs she finds Prik and asks her where Anil is. Prik is getting choked up as she attempts to answer. She wipes at her tears explains that Princess Anil has already left for England. She says that Pin has stayed in bed for many days and that it was finally Anil’s return date. Prik begins to weep as Lady Pin just stands in shock and then a single tear runs down her cheek.
