Part love story, part origin story and part Ocean’s Eleven, we pick up with K.A. Linde’s latest adventure story with protagonist Kierse McKenna in The Robin on the Oak Throne. Now living in Dublin, Kierse must return to New York…and Graves…in order to learn more about the block she has on her memories. While there she is roped into some major heists that come to help open her eyes even more than Graves releasing her powers. You’ll need a hot cup of coffee or tea and a secluded spot to tackle the enchanting (pun intended) book The Robin on the Oak Throne.
Kierse is done with Graves…or so she thought. Not wanting to give him another chance, she is forced to reconsider when a job she’s on goes awry and he lends a hand in getting her out safely as her mission was to steal a goblin-made bracelet off the Queen of the Nymphs in order to barter for passage into the Goblin Market. Why would she want to go there you ask? It is because she has been having upsetting nightmares (or are they memories?) of her mother and father before their passing and she wants answers. The Goblin Market comes with its own perils and Graves won’t be letting his beloved go in there alone. This sets off quite a page turning exploration of Kierse’s past mixed with plenty of sexy moments sure to steam up your glasses. I would go further with the plot, but you just have to read it all for yourself to see what goes down! And so you know, the bracelet theft isn’t the Danny Ocean-esque robbery previously mentioned…
Readers will be turning page after page to find out what happens during Kierse’s passage through the Goblin Market and then the subsequent unraveling of the fog surrounding her past. They will DEFINITELY stick around for all the mega hot will-they won’t-they moments with Kierse and Graves. Add in Lorcan holding on to another secret about his own past and deep connection to Kierse and you have yourself quite a read.
The Robin on the Oak Throne is the story of love, loss, thievery, secrets revealed and so much more. Our pasts have so much influence on who we become in the future and that is never more true than for dear Kierse McKenna. Hold on tight to that hot beverage because you will not be expecting what unfolds…
