Top 3 Moments – 4/21 – 4/26

Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy, and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments, so keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: The Bold Type, “Stroke of Genius” – Councilwoman Kat?

Watching Kat (Aisha Dee) give her speech this week was such a powerful and uplifting moment. It was so great to see her shine and see all of the people who were becoming uninterested start to linger back into the room. Now that the idea of Kat running for office has been sparked, I think this was a perfect way to show just how easily she can draw in the crowd. She continues to show how much she can grow. Her moment on that stage was a huge step up from her last moment on a stage. Although this one wasn’t as personal, the story she told to get people to listen was just as meaningful.

Comedy: Life in Pieces, “Misery Turd Name Pills” – Broken Mom-Mom

Sophia’s (Giselle Eisenberg) games drew Mom-Mom (Dianne Wiest) crazy and it was hilarious. She was pulled into this situation and took full advantage of it. This young girl is so much fun to watch. Her energetic behavior is way too much for Joan and she cannot keep up with the quick changes. A child’s attention span is extremely short and this showed just how limited it could be. Eisenberg’s performance made this piece of life a joy to watch and it was definitely my favorite part of the episode.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Game of Thrones, “A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms” – Knighthood becomes her.

Last week’s Game of Thrones delivered some epic moments we’ve been wanting to see happen sinse the series began. After a discussion the talk of Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) being knighted came up. Before anyone else could step in or step up, Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) hopped up and did the honors for her. The moment was so special because of the history between these two and because everybody knows how much Brienne deserved this. I cried along with her as the moment took place. Gwendoline’s performance throughout the entire episode was brilliant! This moment made her shine in a stunning light and showed just how cherished of a character Brienne is to the show.
