Top 3 TV Moments – April 18 – April 23
By: Malasha Parker
Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!
Drama: 9-1-1: Lone Star, “Saving Grace” – Life after trauma.
Grace (Sierra McClain) and Judd (Jim Parrack) had a traumatic event happen to them this week. While watching the bad, we also got to see the love story of Grace and Judd. It was a beautiful episode that showed their relationship’s unconventional beginnings. After getting into a car accident, Grace finally woke up to hear the news that she is pregnant. It was a great moment for the couple after what they had been through.
Comedy/Reality TV: Home Economics, “Bounce House Rental, $250” – Counseling Session
Sarah (Caitlin McGee) sits Connor (Jimmy Tatro) down to talk to him about his divorce. What was originally thought to be the daughter pushing the divorce of her parents and wanting to have fun with her cousins was realized to actually be Connor wanting to have his family closer. He still hasn’t fully come to terms with how his marriage has ended, but he knows he’ll be able to get through it now that he’s closer to his brother and sister.
Sci-fi/Fantasy: Shadow and Bone, “A Searing Burst of Light” – Sun Summoner
When the individual that made it back from The Fold tells his captors that Alina Starkov (Jessie Mei Li) is a Sun Summoner, he immediately dies for his information. I liked this scene because as he was telling what occurred, we were able to see what was missing from the previous scene. Alina lit up in different directions and stopped the killing that was happening inside The Fold. It was an illuminating scene and showed just how powerful Alina can be.
