Top 3 TV Moments – April 26 – May 1
By: Malasha Parker
Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!
Drama: Blue Bloods, “Family Secrets” – Guess who’s coming to dinner?
When Sean (Andrew Terraciano) finds his first cousin through a school ancestry project, he decides to invite him over for the family dinner. The new family member, Joe Hill (Will Hochman), is their uncle Joe’s son that he never knew about. The last scene was so great because even though it was still a shock to everyone that he was a real part of their family, none of them hesitated in welcoming him to family dinner.
Comedy/Reality TV: Last Man Standing, “How You Like Them Pancakes?” – A thief!
Jen (Krista Marie Yu) trying to figure out who ate her lunch from the employee refrigerator was a perfect comedy moment! She is quite hilarious and her antics to get the food thief to confess are all delivered with the perfect amount of whit. Yu made me love her character from this scene alone. Pretty sure they won’t be taking her food anymore because the threat of food that would cause pain doesn’t sound so pleasant.
Sci-fi/Fantasy: Upload, “Welcome to Upload” – Is it worth it?
Nora (Andy Allo) convinces Nathan (Robbie Amell) to stay in the afterlife at the end of the premiere episode. You could tell she was already more invested in the entire operation after we see her trying to convince her father to be uploaded into the afterlife. Her monologue to get Nathan to stay was well-performed and made me intrigued to see what the rest of the series would have in store. It’s definitely something interesting and, even though I am not completely hooked on it after the first episode, I definitely want to know a little more about how all of this works.
