Top 3 TV Moments – January 17 – January 22
By: Malasha Parker
Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!
Drama: The Rookie, “La Fiera” – Enough is enough!
Jackson West (Titus Makin Jr.) finally goes to Sergeant Wade Grey (Richard T. Jones) about Stanton’s (Brandon Routh) behavior in the field. I hate the reactions from the people Jackson has finally decided to tell. None of the higher ups really wanted to completely handle the issue, but they did reach a point where they can start trying to do it. However, I definitely stand with Jackson in saying that putting Stanton on desk duty isn’t enough for the ways he’s been treating black people and people of color.
Comedy/Reality TV: Call Me Kat, “Therapy” – “You can see me?”
The best part of this episode was seeing Phil (Leslie Jordan) get high off of the medicinal marijuana that he got for his mother’s glaucoma. After accidentally forgetting which batch he put it in, he and Randi (Kyla Pratt) each ate one and he definitely got the special one. It was a great scene to watch him in the bar after eating the sticky bun.
Sci-fi/Fantasy: American Gods, “Serious Moonlight” – Shadow
I really loved the final shot of Shadow’s (Ricky Whittle) car in the middle of all the blue and white as the camera moved outwards. After talking with Marguerite (Lela Loren), that was where we were left to find him by episode’s end.
