Top 3 TV Moments – July 12 – July 17
By: Malasha Parker
Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!
Drama: P-Valley, “Perpetratin’” – Mercedes Sundayz
Mercedes (Brandee Evans) Sundayz is one of the biggest nights of the week. When Mercedes takes to the stage we see her expertly handling the performance. The music cuts out at one point and we just hear the breaths of Mercedes as she moves up and down the pole. It’s a beautiful scene and also gives the sense of how she blocks out most of what happens on the stage and just embraces the performance.
Comedy/Reality TV: United We Fall, “The Biter” – An understanding.
Bill (Will Sasso) and Jo (Christina Vidal) get a chance to tell two parents how they shouldn’t be so stressed about every little thing that happens with their child. The teacher takes them to the side and tells them that she agrees with them. For once, they’re not looking like the crazy and careless parents, but just the every day chaotic parents with two little ones to take care of.
Sci-fi/Fantasy: Brave New World, “Wants & Consequences” – We’re savages!
Lenina (Jessica Brown Findlay) and Bernard (Harry Lloyd) decide they want to be savages after a steamy scene that happens once they arrive in Savageland. It’s so interesting watching the attraction and chemistry between these two characters, especially in this scene. They realize that they may not be on the same wavelength as the others in New London, so they decide at that moment to play as if they’re savages. This show has intrigued me big time, so I can’t wait to see where things go from here.
