Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Homecoming, “Again” – Too far gone.

When Audrey (Hong Chau) eventually gets injected with the memory loss serum, she tells Alex (Janelle Monáe) they should have gone back to bed. It was kind of a full circle moment even though we didn’t see that part until the sixth episode. The relationship between these two characters almost became nonexistent in the final episode and Audrey voicing this, even though Alex didn’t understand, was a heartbreaking moment. The performances by Chau and Monáe gave this couple and their final uncertain moments a beautifully fractured end. If they’re in Season 3, I wonder if they will find their way back to each other.

Comedy/Reality TV: Rick and Morty, “The Vat of Acid Episode ” – Maybe, consequences are there for a reason.

Morty (Justin Roiland) realized that living life without consequences didn’t mean everything was going to always be sunshine and rainbows. In Morty’s happy life montage, he does so much until it ends horribly and he has to return to Rick (Justin Roiland) so that he can change things back. I love the lesson that not everything will work out how you want it. You have to make some decisions that may or may not turn out for the best. Everything is all about the risk and living a life with consequences, whether it’s for something good or bad that you do. It’s just important to live your life because you’ll never know what will happen next.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Stargirl, “Pilot” – Superhero’s first fight!

Courtney (Brec Bassinger) had her first fight using the cosmic staff and it went just as horribly as you’d think. I liked this scene just because Courtney was ready to step into the superhero role yet knew that her identity needed to be shielded. She was already tired of the boys she got to know from school continuing to be the bullies that they are and she didn’t hesitate to step up and stop them. From the looks she gave throughout the pilot, you can tell she isn’t one who will stand around and be talked to in any disrespectful way. She may have destroyed a couple of people’s property during this fight, but the message was clear.
