Top 3 TV Moments – May 9 – May 14

Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Halston, “Becoming Halston” – A fast start!

“Halston” started off in an interesting way from other shows like it. It hopped right into the moments after Halston (Ewan McGregor) became famous for the hats that Jackie Kennedy wore. I loved the scene of the failed fashion show that was put on. Even with it being rushed together and having all the flare in such a small setting, it was a glorious scene to watch. The colors and styles from the designs fitting the vibe of the time. It was a fun moment to watch. 

Comedy/Reality TV: A Black Lady Sketch Show, “My Booty Look Juicy, Don’t It?” – Blippity, Blippity!

The Coral Reefs go on a serenity wellness resort and spa retreat to regroup and gather. My favorite thing about this skit is that the ladies were out there to figure out how to do better for more women. They had a prison to group pipeline set up, even though it was struggling at the moment, and a failed mammogram drive to fix. The skit gave us hardcore women bringing serenity and self care to the core of their gang. 

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Manifest, “Bogey” –  A confession brings resolve.

Saanvi (Parveen Kaur) finally confesses to Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) about the person she murdered at the end of last season. After having some severe side effects and almost dying, Saanvi speaks up and the blood running from her eyes completely disappears. It’s a good thing that she has that out now as it has been weighing on her for so long, but there is definitely going to be more consequences and more complications to some with it.
